Going up and down the weight classes, the title pictures are, by and large, a farce.
Brock, who I seem think is still usada suspended, is fighting lhw dc for the hw belt.
Lhw champ dc (a credible champ, no question) is at hw, so there are many questions about the fate of the lhw belt. It seems gus (and his 2 losses to the current and former lhw champ) might be fighting a rising star from mw and his 13 losses for a lhw belt?
Mw champ bobby knuckles (also a solid champ) is scheduled to host a reality show against a ww former reality show contestant.
Ww champ Woodley is finally fighting, but is fighting a guy that has difficulty making weight and failed to impress in his last outing.
The interim ww champ is about to be stripped from the interim belt that he won by beating a lw, but he failed to ever defend the interim strap.
Lw champ beat a guy named Raging al, a realtor and unranked fighter in a fight that the champ couldn’t finish. Hats off to Raging al—tough, tough dude, but beating him somehow warrants being crowned champions
Other lw champ hasn’t fought in years, wants to be a boxer, was finished by a journeyman at ww and seems to prefer fighting buses than fighters.
Fw champ is broken but without a diagnosis. I dig and respect max, and wish him a full and healthy recovery, but has missed a few fights and only became champ because the other fw champ decided he didn’t want to be a fw anymore.
Bantamweight champ is solid, but he is fighting a guy he took the belt from in the first place with a thunderous knock out. Cogar hasn’t fought since being flattened by tj, yet we have an immediate rematch lined up.
Mighty Mouse has fought and beat all challengers, yet his refusal to fight tj unless he is paid what he is worth (or feels he is worth) has lead to fans hating on him for, essentially not fucking up 2 weight classes.
The title pictures in every weight class are a mess, yet the ufc keeps doing the same shit time and again.
