I can't believe Jeff is Roger and Floyd's bro. He seems like a great guy who's not into inflating his ego. I really hope Forbes wins so we don't have to see another Mayweather family meltdown.

Meh. I want to see DLH vs. Mayweather 2. DLH did some things that worked in that bout. That said, Id rather see mayweather vs. Cotto or Margarito

i agree with lampley when Dlh stopped jabbing he stopped winning.

Jeff's a good guy. But then again so are Roger and Floyd when the cameras are off. Jeff is by far the friendliest if you don't have a pretty wicked sense of humor.

I had it on but wasn't really paying too much attention.
Did they mention the fact that Floyd Jr. told Roger he was fired if he trained Forbes and that was the reason Jeff was doing it?

can I request that you create a thread called the King Kabuki Chronicles where you fill us in on all of this inside info. It'd be a good read. thanks.

There is one of those that exists someplace else. I'll PM you the link, I don't do it here because there's too much scrutiny from nimrods potentially.

Why is there a Forbes/DLH countdown again?

Because it was going to be the battle of the trainers, Floyd Sr. vs Roger, until Floyd Jr. intervened, how it's Jeff Mayweather vs. Floyd Sr.

just got done watching it. very cool, Jeff seems like a real humble guy. i didnt know Roger trained Forbers in the past. pretty good countdown.

GOOD FOR JEFF

The services of trainer Jeff Mayweather were once again called upon as Tongan heavyweight prospect by way of Australia, Bowie Tupou (14-0, 11 KOs) will now be trained by Mayweather. The massively chiseled 6'2, 260 pound Tupou moved to Los Angeles from Australia about a year ago and is immediately relocating to Las Vegas to begin training with Mayweather to prepare for his May 17th fight against an opponent to be announced in Primm Valley Casino, Primm, Nevada. The card will be presented by Tupou's promoter Gary Shaw. Mayweather has been very busy recently, guiding Sultan Ibragimov to the heavyweight championship and he will be the head trainer for Steve Forbes in his career's biggest fight against Oscar De La Hoya on May 3rd. "I'm very excited about working with Bowie as I will get the opportunity to train him at a very important time of his career," stated Mayweather. "He comes to me with good work ethic and is willing to learn. Can't ask anymore from a fighter." Tupou stated, "When it's time for me to step up my level of competition, I want to be ready. I don't want to embarrass myself or my promoter. I'm grateful for everyone who has helped me in my training since I arrived in the U.S. but I needed to make a change. With Jeff as my trainer I feel confident that he can take me to that next level I'm seeking."
