i would not consider this to be good form here but thats a lot of weight, kinda makes me wonder if there any acceptable variations
has lower back is in flexion in the neutral position which , for bodybuildin/fitness purposes, would not be acceptable however for powerlifting that is a acceptable deadlift
Despite of his impressive lifts, to bend the lower back like he does is just asking for a squashed disc or something. 411 kg, isnt that sort of just 10-20 kg from the world record????? or am I mistaken?
OK, fuckwads, no more kilo talk. The world record is something like 950. And that in real measurements. Also, like others have already pointed out, all that you could say is "wrong" with his form, is the rounding of the lower back. It's not ideal, but I've said it before, and I'll say it again, lots of good pullers have done it with a rounded back, look at The Kaz. Especially when you get up to being rather large, like that fellow, it gets harder and harder to get down to the bar with a neutral back position, that's part of why he grippped n' ripped.
His form was perfect. The arch didn't change during the lift at all. Stayed the same which is the most important part. He wasn't even that rounded, he's just a big mother fucker.
my only problem is that he didn't maintain a neutral spine during the lift however it was 400 kilos errr I mean 900 pounds. Other than that he did pull the weight smoothly and was able to complete it successfully with his shoulder erect not rounded at the finish position
yeah, 411 is about 912.5 lbs and he got it relatively easy regarding slapping on his back, i would assume it's to get him fired up.
actually it should be about 905 pounds. the form wasnt perfect in my opinion (but hey what do i know) but theres nothing wrong with it either. he's just one huge dude.
People that can do world class weight write the book on form as they go. You don't tell them about form; they tell you.
The guy is a born deadlifter for sure. His bench, on the other hand is not that good, quality wise... I saw his 250kg bench, his ass came up 10 inches....And the best part - The judge white lighted it lol
Not to be nitpicky, but this isn't technically correct. Ass not on bench = no lift. It's like saying if you knock the bar off while high jumping, you're cheating. No, you failed the jump. Cheating would be something else, like maybe wearing pants with 4 inches of padding in them to lift your ass up while it still appears to touch the bench.
