Dispelling the ignorance revolving around fighter salary.

Now everyone I just want you to remember with the above post. NOT EVERYONE is getting paid. There are plenty of undercards making very close to what they are reportedly bringing in.

These guys get 0% PPV buyrate money and only are bringing in sponsorship cash which is considerably less than what guys make on maincards/mainevents.

What is this like? Boxing. What do you think undercards make on big cards? Not a whole hell of a lot. What does the main event make? Bank.

Our MMA champions/Mainevent contenders and names are getting real money coming in. Our gatekeepers/undercarders? Not so much.

And that's the way it should be. If you could make big money being an undercard shlub, what's the point in trying to be a champ? "Unless the glory is truly what drives you". Why get a degree and manage a restaurant when you could make the big bucks washing dishes?

Prize fighting means the bigger the fighters, the bigger the fight, the bigger the money.

You haven't really done your research properly.

Anyway, I don't understand why posters are so interested in fighter salary. What the fuck do you care? It is none of your business.
They sign their contracts voluntarily, it is something the employer and the employee get to negotiate. You get the wage you are able to bargain, thats how a "free" market works.
If they were unsastified with their contract, then it is really up the fighter themselves to do something about it. Put the UFC in a position where they would be better off giving a higher wage.
