She MOPPED Smith. Effortlessly. She made 139. Postfight, she could have become a fucking LEGEND by announcing her entry into the big league title race by cutting the extra 3 lbs (4 for title shot). Instead she ruined it by sticking her massive skull in the camera and saying "I'm going back to the minors, but I'll still call out the names at 135 for catchweight shine."

Technically Invicta is the "majors" for the 145 division. But I get what you're trying to say.
 
Cant believe she didn't take the opportunity to call out Ronda. Just say "Ronda stop running from me" or some nonsense like that to try to push a catch weight superfight. She did absolutely nothing to help UFC set up that fight.
 
The cut to that weight would be more painful then what the entire divisions weak talent pool can inflict on her. She has no reason to drop down, the 135 lb champ should have the guts to come up to 140 and fight this 145 lb champ like true pound for pound greats do
 
I hope someone says to her "Cris, WTF are you doing here?! Are you afraid of the next level of stardom? Make that sacrifice. Cut the 3 lbs, whip a top fighter or two, then cut the extra lb for the title fight. Why do you want to fight in front of a limited audience?"

You saw how sunken in she looked at the weigh-in...an extra 4 pounds could prove a severe detriment to her performance!

Cyborg doesn't run the UFC. Don't blame her for what the UFC management are doing.
 
To be fair she said in several interviews earlier that she is not planning to quit Invicta to fight in the UFC 135 division.

It's not about what everyone else is doing. It's about making the next step, making the big money, being a real star, advancing your brand.

She has fumbled the ball for 5 years now, and has fallen into this position of good fortune. My God, woman...take that extr atep and be a STAR.

I have nothing against Cyborg. But she has no division in the UFC. All her fights will be at catchweight. What's the pay off here for the UFC? What's the plan?

There's a good chance Rousey can win the belt again if anybody but Holm has the belt. So, she ain't fighting Ronda.

Ronda has such a tiny frame she couldn't possibly fight Cyborg at 140.
