I'm not looking for medical advice, I'm just curious if anyone here has had a discectomy done and if so, how was the road to recovery? Has the procedure had any long term impact on your game? I know the long term prognosis of surgery vs no surgery is approximately equal once you get to 5-10+ years removed from the date of injury, but, I'd rather get a boost in the short term to get back to normal than do another 3+ month course of PT and NSAIDs.
