Disappointing performance by Cat Zingano

I was so disappointed as a fan of hers. She looked like shit out there. This is not the same fighter that beat Amanda Nunes a few years ago. I was hoping to see vintage Cat Zingano with those sick takedowns and ferocious ground and pound. Instead, she kept her hands low throwing wild assed overhand rights and high kicks to almost no effect. They were so telegraphed with no setup. When they missed, she would lose her balance, almost falling. She was gassed and busted up 2 and a half minutes into the first round. She just looked awful. Congrats to Vieira who looked really damn good but I am disappointed in Cat's performance.

Viera impressed the hell out of me.

But yeah, i knew Cat was done when she got grapplefucked by Pena. Her head is not in the right place. She even broke down as the decision was being announced.

Did you even watch the Cat - Nunes fight? Cat was reckless from the start and got taken down and mounted instantly.

For some reasons the ref decided not to stop 4 minutes of ground and pound from full mount up till Amanda gassed. Yes, Cat survived Nunes, but she left the fight with months worth of brain swellings and damage- to the point that she couldn't even drive correctly (her words). The Nunes fight took years off Cat's career.


Cat has a lot of heart, but she's never been a great fighter. And now with USADA, her physique has gone south. She's a bodybuilder right? relied on her size and strength. Without that edge, she's not going to be able to do much anymore.

It must be mentioned that Nunes was beating the shit out of her before completely gassing (as she used to be known to do).

I like Cat. She's an amazing talent but I think mentally she is done unfortunately. Pena should have been a cake walk for her. And don't even get me started on the RR fight. Her story will be told by a few fuck ups rather than the monumental wins they should have been.

It didn't just take years of Cat's career it was effectively the end of Cat's career. Every fight after that is just a chance to see how much more brain damage she can take. Is she just gonna have a hard time figuring out how to get home or is she gonna forget the name of her own kids? Is she gonna have slurred speech in her 40's or 50's? Is she just gonna have hormonal problems or is she gonna add anger management problems in the mix?

Cat and her fans should just be grateful she been getting out-grappled and hasn't fought another opponent who likes to punch hard and often like Amanda.

I love Cat..I really do..but she was even getting her ass beat in some of her best victories..she just mentally is not right for some reason..and I don't even think it has anything to do with the CTE she surely has at this point.

I didn't see the fight last night but it is a shame. When Cat was on she could hang with anyone in her division.

Cat is fighting like it's 2008. She is just brawling, rushing into opponents, getting off balance when she throws her strikes, zero combinations. There is no strategy in her game and fighters who have average fighting IQ can easily win over her.

When she is fighting girls who have derp moments like her then she has a chance (Tate who makes tons of mistakes and Nunes who doesn't know how to keep her gas tank).

I think it's downhill from now on for Cat. Girls are getting better and she is just doing same thing over and over and over and over and over and over....and over again

I think the tops girls in the sport have passed her by. Kind of like Ronda. I like Cat but she's wild and sloppy and the top girls in the UFC will pick her apart.

She needs to stay active, you can't just fight once every 18 months and expect to do well. She gassed quickly and looked lost. Mentally she's in a better place now (her fight against Amanda was her first fight after losing her husband).

I still think she can challenge the top girls at BW but she needs to start actually living like a fighter, training all the time and fighting multiple times a year.

I can't even imagine how much it would fuck a person up mentally for their spouse to commit suicide, especially when you're raising a child together.
