Edit: wadda ya know? Sal D'amato is the swing judge who gave TJ round 5, resulting in TJ getting the win.

Giving standing hugs is truly the most effective and damaging technique.

You could poll 100 sherdoggers scorecards and get 100 different results.

Does that mean 99 of you got it wrong? Of course not, it's subjective. Is the opinion of 3 enough? Probably not.

I'm not gonna hate on the judges. It was a tough fight and someone was guaranteed to walk away disappointed. No reason for Sandhagen not to get another high quality opponent next.

    Judging competitive rounds is tough.

Rounds 4 and 5 were split on this card.

Sandhagen won on 2/3 cards for both rounds, but since TJ swept 1 & 3 he got the nod.

I had it 1 & 3 for TJ and 2 & 4 for Sandhagen going in to the 5th. I need to rewatch the 5th round again tbh. Thought Corey edged it out but glad TJ won.

Disagree I think most of sherdog would vote Cory Sandhagen as the winner. By a fair margin too

    IMO
Should be treated as a 4 man tourney with Yan/Aljo

    TJ vs Yan
    Aljo vs Sandhagen 2

Round 5 should have gone to Cory, giving him 48 47 win. Close fight, TJ pushed the pace

Most professional fighters over 90pct of them had Sand winning... 3-2 so it is pretty controversial. I havent really seen any fighter not in tjs camp or sands. Saying tj won ..

There was a poll in one thread and when I was looking at it TJ got 160+ votes and Sandhagen got 130+ votes.

Ah well I guess we have a classic case of a more vocal minority
