Dillashaw is keeping a hand above the compromised eye because he has double vision in the eye, not because of the blood, the hand while there also for protection is allowing him to see out of his non compromised eye.

The commentators somehow don't seem to be picking this up, but Dillashaw is definitely severely compromised even if due to Sandhagens ill timed spinning attacks he's ahead on the scorecard.

i noted that he was doing this pre cut.
also note he had a cut that caused the fight to get cancelled.

i think it is a defensive habit to protect that area from opening up in camp.
