difference in power

You'll find this is true all over the place. From MMA journalists to random guys in the heavies, buzz words are the shortcut to sounding smart without substance.

Just wait for Bas Rutten or Jack Slack to explain a recent happening in the MMA world and you'll be treated to a deluge of people quoting those gentlemen's words as their own, as if everybody else didn't read the same exact thing.

Hahaha there are those everywhere, but every time one of Jack's articles gets posted it's basically a parade of people shitting on him despite never pointing out an actual flaw in his analysis...

There was nothing about positioning or any of that shit in the fight. Martinez should have never been in the ring. Muhfucker couldn't even stand on his own two feet, much less position himself in anyway.

Cotto carried him or he would have been out in the first.

I don't think Cotto carried him. He's a Champ and the referee didn't stop it because of that. Martinez has a ton of heart and started to battle back. If he were anyone less than a World Champ, that bout would have been called off when he got up and wobbled after the 3rd knockdown rule even though there wasn't a 3-knockdown rule in effect.

It wasn't only power but Martinez (lack of) defence, shaky chin and shot knees as well. But I mean thee have been many fights with a bigger difference in power between 2 fights Martinez even with shot knees isn't featherfisted.
Malignaggi vs Porter or Malignaggi vs any puncher was a much bigger difference in power Pauli just had the chin to take the power up until his last fight

Martinez has no such thing as a shaky chin. Paulie didn't suddenly "lose" his chin, either. They both got hit flush more in their recent fights for various reasons. That Martinez got up when Chavezito almost killed him and swung back indicates his chin isn't poor. Paulie also took a crazy beating from optimal-weight Cotto and winked at a commentator through a broken cheekbone.

There was more wrong with both of these two than what we saw in the ring in their outings, but those things shouldn't dampen the great things Porter and Cotto did. Cotto fought pretty much perfectly, and would have troubled a Martinez with healthy knees. Paulie honestly looked under-trained for Porter, and both men were caught cold within the first few rounds.
