Just look at the aftermath of the Tony vs Cowboy fight. Look at the reactions of the fighters.

Tony, the winner, on the verge of tears because he hit Cowboy just after the bell and won in an unsatisfying manner:

Cowboy, the loser, jolly despite making a very silly mistake (if it even was a mistake), losing the bout and disappointing all the fans he puzzlingly enough has.

Seems like the perfect can to feed to Conor. A guy who literally could not care less about whether he loses or not. So this is supposed to be a bad-ass guy just because he fights often? Of course he fights often, he doesn't care about losing and he is happy to get pummelled within the first round.

Tony's reactions to a fight always make him seem on the spectrum.

Difference between real competitor and Ferguson.
Cerrone has had double the fights of Ferguson since Ferguson entered the UFC. In fact Cerrone has had more fights since Ferguson entered the UFC than Ferguson has had in his ENTIRE career

Cerrone has the most wins in UFC history, most finishes in UFC history, most post fight bonuses in UFC history, most knockdowns in UFC history, and tied for most fights in UFC history. That is a real competitor.

Cowboy is a serious competitor and a much bigger guy than Conor should be fighting. Anybody trying to down play the danger that Conor is in is just a Conor hater. Cowboy has more ways to win and much more experience at that weight class. If Conor doesn’t fight a perfect fight he could absolutely lose this.

I'm a big fan of Tony, but I wouldn't use him as an example of how to react to any situation given that he is notoriously unstable.

I'm not much of a Cowboy fan (respect his game but find him personally annoying), but he loves to fight, win or lose, is always game to fight anyone, and is more interested in putting on good shows than using the correct strategy to win.

It's not ideal in terms of his own career, I agree, but it makes him a very popular fighter who gets into money fights and headlines events despite not being a real title contender.

Lost all respect for Cowboy for taking this fight despite knowing he doesnt stand a chance and just wants red panty night.
I like real fighters like Conor who doesnt care about money and just fights because he loves it

Prioritizing pleasing fans over winning is not being a real competitor

He loves to fight, we get it. He's said it a million times but fans aren't going to pay his bills when CTE starts to set in

Cerrone breaks with really tough opposition, especially guys that keep coming forward despite anything he throws. The fights against Tony, Jorge, Nate are clear examples of this. And so now he is facing another fighter in McTapper who is pretty much the same as he is, with an easily broken will, but we all know that neither of these two guys could ever be a champion who would defend their belt. They are simply not gritty fighters who defeat all odds and all obstacles to get the win...neither of them are like that. That's why it's a great match up.

Lol, he beat the piss out of Cerrone in the second round.

We all know what would've happened if the third round took place. One of those two has a history of folding under pressure and turtling up when things aren't going his way, and it's not Tony.

Seems to work. He has literally won more fights in the UFC than anyone else and has plenty of money.

He's also lost fights that he could've won with a better gameplan, and has paid the price for it by losing tons of brain cells

Cerrone was born rich so money was never important to him

I'm no talking about cerrone fights.

Re-read my post and think hard and maybe post on here with your actual account not your troll account.

They have different personalities but to say that Cowboy isn't a competitor is ridiculous.
