diet help for a new guy

    Im just starting out mma training (the extent of my training is rolling with some guys at the mma club here at school twice a week for about an hour so its not too intense). Im also trying to start going to the gym hopefully 5 times a week for both strength training and conditioning.
    that being said what kind of diet should i be on. not in the sense of atkins and all that crap but what types of food should i be eating after lifting or after running or for breakfast, and how many calories/protien/carbs? all that kind of stuff. up til now ive kinda just eaten what i felt like eating and thats done pretty well so far but now i know its time to step it up because im serious.
