I respect Diego too much to belittle his career, but you are wrong.

To be honest I was just being half heatedly offensive in response to a dumb as fuck thread

I like the guy, and a lot of his defeats could have been victories had he pushed the pace harder.

For me Jorge's best wins are Kitaoka, Cerrone, Yves, Askren, Diaz, and I'm not going to go into whether they were at the tail end of their careers, you can do that with any fighter. Unfortunately for him only the Cerrone/Askren/Diaz fights really matter as he was stuck in journeyman territory for way too long. Anything before then he was never able to rattle off wins either back to back or in a big enough promotion for them to matter.

I feel Diego has at least had a run at the top with fights like Diaz/Karo/Joe Daddy/Guida - at least those fights really mattered and were huge wins at the time that rightly helped earn him a title shot. Bigger stage, opponents at the top of their game.
