Did Your Social Circle Get Smaller In Your 30s?

Time goes by so quickly. I was at a buddies 40th bday today. He’s a few years older than me but we were good friends since high school.

Everyone was talking about the past and where the fuck it went. Telling stories about a decade ago yet it feels like that stuff happened two weeks ago

Enjoy it while you can. Life moves rather quick.

Getting close to 40 and most of my friends are married with kids and work full time so I hardly ever see them. American football season is when I see them the most. Getting together every few weeks to watch a game or go to a game.

Location seems to be the key to most relationships with friends. You see your co workers more than your closest friends as you get older unless your friends live near by or you run into them constantly. So naturally you drift apart over time. So your circle does get smaller but not always because we don't have friends. We just don't see them as often.
