Did you think the Terminator looked more badass in T1 or T2?

For me I thought he looked cooler in T1. I don't know if it was just him being bigger or if it was the outfits he was rocking in t1. In t2 it was almost like they overdid it with the leather a little bit but he still looked really cool. I thought his hairstyle in the first movie was better too

I think T2 Arnold probably looks "cooler" but in the first movie he is a straight up horror villain. He is creepy, his eyebrows are burned off, his flesh is pale and decaying, the janitor in the hallway can smell his rotting flesh through the door.

T2 Arnold gets the chicks. T1 Arnold gets the police called on him if he's seen walking around at night.

I felt that the liquid metal, shape shifting, bullet resistant T1000 model Terminator made for a very formidable antagonist.

Both movies were great IMO and I can certainly see an argument for the 1st being the better film, clearly rhe more impactful film, but the robot/Cyborg character has been done quite a lot, where this shape changing, voice and facial feature mimicking liquid metal thing was a really unique idea and executed very well in a way that was a game changer in terms of implementation of special effects.

Human skin for Terminator = more badass in T1

Metal skin for Terminator = T2, because in T1 we rarely saw the skeletal frame of the Terminator, while we saw a lot of the liquid metal composition for T2. I thought the transitioning from one character to another and the healing of the liquid metal was cooler than the metal skeletal frame of T1.

Lighting and mood was different in T1, plus Arnie was a bad guy, so going with 1.

Both are excellent movies though.

If we include the T1000 from 2...the emotionless face on an everyman body, plus the fact this heartless assassin is dressed as a cop for most of the movie brings its own type of horror....

T1 was dark and had a moody atmosphere. T2 was more upbeat, mostly because Arnie was the good guy now. T1 is better overall.
Honestly I love both movies, but if I had to pick one I actually like the second one more overall. It's just that I thought Arnold looked more badass and scary in the first one though

Oh he was. He was only three or four years removed from his last Mr. Olympia title for the first Terminator. And seven years younger or so.
He dropped 30 or 40 lbs for Predator because he thought it was unrealistic that a special ops soldier would be a 275lb bodybuilder and he pretty much maintained that physique for the rest of his career

I JUST watched this with a girl from Trinidad and shes never see it. She IMMEDIATELY noticed his eyebrows were gone after reese blows up the car. Thought that was a cool detail, but why not his hair on his head...

Anyway T1 > T2
