It looked like how it should have looked against a relatively inexperienced
dude taking a fight on short notice. Uriah did get hit solid once or twice...
but ultimately landed a good right that put Stallings in trouble & he followed
up with punches until it was stopped due to cut.

Lorenz was the star tonight, imo

He seemed to be getting picked apart a little bit, but then hit a sweet parry, cross to score a knockdown. He swarmed on the guy, cut him up with some GnP, waved the guy to his feet and the fight was stopped by the doctor.

Uriah is similar to Machida and Anderson Silva in one respect. He's a relatively low volume striker with the ability to finish fights with a single blow. Which makes him look great when he gets a spectacular knockout, but leaves him open to criticism when he goes a couple of rounds without doing much damage.

Unlike Machida and Anderson, though, he does leave himself open to damage while he's looking for openings. I thought he took way more damage than one would have expected against a non-UFC fighter taking the fight on less than a week's notice.

The grand canyon he left on his opponent's face was rather impressive.

All things considered i think he looked good. alot of people are giving him slack for not touch of deathing someone who's fighting in the ufc on a weeks notice but i his opponent seemed legit to me. i dont think you have to be in the ufc to be a good fighter. Just most good fighters are in the ufc.

He got touched a bit, but thats to be expected when you're fighting somebody you havent trained for.

Yes. It was a good fight until Urijah smashed him in the face and almost knocked him out. Urijah then let him up and his skin was flapping around.

Stallings gave it some, props to him.

But Uriah is a killer once he has someone hurt. He swarmed him after dropping him. That cut was nasty, okay, its not the cleanest of wins but Id bet Uriah would've finished him later that round anyway.

    Did he win impressively?

    Obviously not.

Fight was even leading up to the cut.

Well, it was even leading up to the knockdown and subsequent GnP that lead to the cut. Let's not pretend that Rd. 1 wasn't going to Hall after that series of events if the fight hadn't been stopped.

Still, though- Hall's a bit of an enigma. He's an amazing athlete with some real explosive strikes, but I wish he had a little more "dog" in him.

It was a good win. Stallings I think showed a bit of a gameplan for beating Hall, which is to get into range, cut off the Octagon, and work Hall's legs. I think someone who can bully Hall can make it a heck of a fight. Kennedy, Rick Story (although he's at 170), etc.

It was a good win but he didn't dominate. Its amazing how he can end fight out of nowhere but he is still keeping his chin so high in the air while backing up. Good striker will KO him, he needs to fix that shit.

A lot of potential but he needs to stop backing up and move forward.
