Before engaging in conversation, I recommend read this article as text below will contain info from that site.

    http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/story/dana-white-slams-morons-who-say-the-ufc-has-peaked-080516

Well, first of all we need to define a word "peak" as everyone here might know a different meaning. For some is number of stars, for some ppv sales, for some others is a number of people attending UFC events...Well, lets take everything to consideration in this case.

Personally, I noticed significant drop in people attending UFC events since pretty much UFC 200. And if you re-watch it again you will notice lots of empty seats during main cards. Any event.

Now in other hand, Dana says that whoever think UFC peaked is a moron...well, but what you expect him to say? As long he is a president, he will defend this company no matter what.

I don't feel that buzz anymore tbh. I am long-term UFC fan and I was more concerned about Jon Jones being pulled that McGregor having dramas over pressers or whatever it truly was.

I don't know. How you feel guys recently?

Last two years they have expanded a lot, they held events in new countries, that means new markets

They probably have peaked in America, but they can expand even more in Latin America (there isn't a stong competitor there), Asia (where OneC has a lot of market) and Europe (they could try to compete with KSW in Polandh-KSW is huge there- and Russia -M-1, ACB, Akhmat and some others are doing good numbers-)

2008-2013 were the golden years of the ufc, then they brought in all these divisions and watered down there cards, instead of focusing on quality then gave us quantity.

MMA has not even come close to peaking. The times of biggest popularity have been UFC 1-4, bu then people lost interest. Then comes TUF 1 where popularity blew up again, but people started to lose interest in the next couple of years. The UFC was trying to make a big push for 200 but it's pretty safe to say that fizzled out.

One day I see MMA surpassing the popularity of boxing, but alot has to change. Commissions need to be more sport specific to MMA and the rules need to be fixed.

In a certain way it peeked. A lot of the magic is gone. Like what would happen if a gold medalist from Judo or wrestling came in, or what will ever stop someone like Vitor who had boxing and jujitsu. Before we didn't know what happen. Would some badass just come out and wreck everyone?

Now it's more of a sport. But it continues to evolve. Right now it's clearly evolving with people like Conor. It's still fun.

If it has truly peaked in popularity then fuck'em. That just means the terrible fans withered away. I remember back in the day where UFC and Pride had a show every other month. Then Pride started the Bushido series for the months when their main cards wouldn't be showcased.

And watching prelims was unheard of. Then the Spike TV deal where they showed two prelims. Then the Facebook prelims, then Fight Pass. Nowadays we get a fight card damn near every week.

We as MMA fans are spoiled fucking rotten these days. I've been around long enough to be grateful for it. The fairweather fans can go eat a bag of blazing hot dicks.
