Bar owners cannot afford it because it's literally X amount per box or TV to show it on (legit) -- one around here used to show it, charged a cover of like $10 -- packed the place and it was losing money.

It fucking SUCKS for owners with the fees and the bullkshit involved.

Quite honestly, it fucking sucks for your average joe worker as well...

The distributor isn't attached to your cable / satellite provider and has no idea how many 'boxes' you have. You pay based on legal occupancy.

If the Fire Marshal has your building registered for a legal occupancy of 300, that is how you will be charged. You can put in a 10' theater screen or 25 small ones, it has no bearing on the price you pay.
