It was Rogan's utter dismissal of Goldberg that bothered me the most.

He didn't say one thing about him, and refused to look his way. WTF. Rogan is a scumbag, on top of being a narcissistic pseudo-intellectual.

Taken this quote from another thread because it seems pretty accurate. UFC 207 was Goldbergs last appearance for the promotion over so many years however at the end not even Rogan had the decency to give thanks or best wishes or even look at the guy he's been working alongside all of these years.

Which leads me to wonder does Rogan actually dislike Goldberg even though they've worked together week in week out all these years?

I used to find it irritating too when Goldberg would mess up a line or say something stupid and Rogan would tear him apart on live television to make Goldberg look even worse.

Has Rogan ever commented on whether he likes or dislikes Goldberg? Someone mentioned that the fact he's never invited him on the podcast suggests he's not a fan?

I think he likes him as a person, but definitely seems to look down on Goldberg's multiple missed calls, or lack of awareness of what was going on at times.

maybe they were instructed not to mention it before the show.... or maybe Goldie requested it not be mentioned?

but from the way Ive heard Joe speak about Mike, its pretty clear they are friends

Goldberg was never my friend - Joe Rogan

Rogan is a douche teenager in his off time.. Goldie might not be that. The podcast isn't terrible, because they curse and dumb down while trying to sound smart etc.. etc... But Goldie wouldn't fit there, he's not a California stoner douche type; he's a different douche type.

They are two different douche types. There are too many Rogan types, so I'm not taking his side over Goldie. I'm also not getting mad at the UFC for making a change; you make those once in a while. A "Nice working with you" would have been very, very appropriate,

Rogan is an ass kisser. Which is exactly how he has his job without any fighting background.

So he has to play the politics game and hate the guy they are kicking to the curb.

They're obviously friends, just cos Rogan takes the piss out of him when he makes a mistake doesn't mean he's looking down on him lol its just banter ffs

I can remember vaguely Joe talking about Goldberg on his pod but there wasn't really anything there. He sounded like he liked working with Goldberg and that they had a very good professional relationship. Didn't seem like they had much of a personal relationship outside their work together.

Also, I think its pretty clear that they made a conscious decision not to mention that it was Goldberg's last show. Whether you agree with that or not, its not Joe's fault. That being said, I would have liked to have seen them at least acknowledge it.

no Rogan has actually complimented Goldie on how hard his job actually is and this Rogans job is easy, he just turns up and talks, He said one time he had to do goldies job and it was impossible because he had to deal with the truck producers in his ear and talk at the same time while calling the fights etc etc - hes defo never shit on Goldie before only said his job is significantly more difficult than his own

Rogan laughed at one of his bad jokes. He doesn't hate him.

not even Rogan had the decency to give thanks or best wishes or even look at the guy he's been working alongside all of these years.

Whoever said that he had to do it live on air?

Why does everyone assume that Joe went out of his way to screw Goldberg over and not give him a mention. We have no idea what they were instructed to say and what not to say before the show began...

The Mike Knights of Goldberg just assuming the worst

Actually, Joe Rogan has an extensive fighting background and is an absolutely legitimate martial artist. Hate the guy if you want, but you can't knock his credentials.

I'm sure they are friends.

he likes goldie, from what ive heard - and credits goldie for having a tough job - but who knows

I like the JRE Podcast. And Joe knows a helluva lot more about fighting than I ever will. That being said, i do cringe when Rogan brings up his "when he was fighting" story's. Which basically was Tae Kwon do as a kid and maybe one or two Muai Thai bouts?

Im being a hater but it is the way he says it. ok, joe kick boxing yes - but point karate is not real fighting -- which he says himself all the time. Its definetly tough, but he says it in a context like he was actually a Pro MMA competitor.
