    There are certainly moments that heavily overlap, but I think Phil's song is original enough to be its own creation.

    Actually it was the other way around. Syd Barrett was a huge Peter Gabriel fan.

    Also, never knew Eric Clapton played axe on that epic anthem.

    They worked together a bunch, but in 1989 in particular, they alternated as featured artists on each other's songs with Clapton playing guitar on "I Wish It Would Rain Down" and Phil playing drums on "Bad Love."
