Did Nike see this coming?

The real reason is this:

THEY MAKE MORE MONEY WITH THE NFL, NBA ENDORSEMENTS, and BOXERS in like a month than they EVER could for a year or two in MMA

I think it's a case of Nike just not wanting to be in MMA anymore and not really getting much out of Jones. He didn't get a lot of PPV eyeballs on the product for one thing.

no, Nike thought mma could become big and ride the wave but had shitty returns from their investments in it. Nike's mma gear couldnt even match the sales of gutter brands like Tapout, Bad Boy and Hayabusa.

Gutter brands that bebeen in the game for 15 years....go figure

Also it's come out now from the nsac that he shouldn't have been tested for that in the first place. He has grounds to sue.

I'm fairly sure the UFC won't allow Bones to engage in a can't-win lawsuit that thrusts a PR-nightmare cocaine debacle even further into the limelight. NSAC's cadre of lawyers and relatively inexhaustible legal funds might be a bit discouraging, too.

Jones must have urked them the wrong way. Actually what TS said was true from what Jones said but actually what Jones said was a lie which is even more interesting.

Nike and Jones were ending their relationship down the road before the brawl happened, and when it did it sped up the process. Jones complained the reason they were was because he was told they have more marketing of him (commercials, apparel, etc.) They never did, they may have seen Jones going down a bad road for business.

Oh, a 3rd strike fan on Sherdog. Good taste, sir. :D
