Getting fucked by a chance to hold an interim belt? The dude's getting his chance. The likelihood that Conor goes back to 145 to defend seems... well, I think most of us will be VERY surprised by that. Conor doesn't want to make that weight cut anymore. He won his belt and it won't surprise me if he stays north of 145.

Edgar could easily be the undisputed FW champ in the near future. I wouldn't really call that gettin fucked.

Any guy with a legitimate shot at fighting for a belt isn't going to feel like a true champion not fighting the true champ. Yes he is getting fucked. If Conor can't make the weight cut and does in fact never intend to return to the division it's as simple as relinquishing the belt.

Frankie is only getting "fucked" in the sense that he is being forced to fight a guy who has already beaten him once and who is a much worse stylistic match up for him than Conor.

But if you can't beat the number two man in your division you sure as hell aren't champion material.
