Media Did Ken Shamrock have small bone structure? he only weighed 205 pound at 6ft tall

Shamrock looked like he weighed 230 or 240 but he only weighed 205 at 6 foot, but then I looked at his fight with Severn and you can see how small and skinny his ankles are he has really tiny ankles. So I'm guessing the reason he weighs only 205 even juiced to the gills is because of his tiny bone structure? Is he really 6 foot or more like 5'10?

I'm 6'2 and weigh 214 pounds and I look skinny or tiny compared to prime Shamrock yet weigh more than him. its baffling how he only weighed barely 205 pounds at 6 foot with all those bulging muscles.

 

I met him a couple years ago and he seemed like he was 5’10 the most . He probably juiced at some point in his life and got away with it because fighters weren’t really testedback then

Yeah its crazy how he weighed so little compared to how he looked, either he isn't really 6 foot, and has extremely light bone structure not as dense his ankles were tiny as you can see in his old fights but he had slabs of muscle packed on from juice.

I have read that for people of the same height, there is generally no more than a 10 lb difference in skeletal weight. The huge difference in weight you see between say an endo and ecto are from the endos far higher capacity to carry more muscle and fat. For example Bobby Lashley can obviously get huge but will have nowhere near the upper limit in pure weight and size of a Bob Sapp.

I think in Ken's case he simply has aesthetic muscle bellies/attachments (look how beautiful those pecs are), and pronounced beach muscle. I think something similar is going on with Yoel, bodybuilding is about illusion and those with more aesthetically pleasing insertions and muscle bellies will appear far bigger.

I also don't think he's 6 ft tall, nor is Yoel for that matter.

The video you posted says he is 225lbs in that fight, they just didn't change the numbers for some reason. But yeah, he always looked way bigger than he actually was but he was very lean. I've seen bodybuilders who are 185lbs but look over 200lbs because of how lean they are.

 

Lol i'm 6 feet tall and not even 200 lbs. If I actually trained, got in shape and lost weight I'd probably be a LW.

If Shamrock was really that muscular at 6 feet 205 lbs he probably does have small bones. Or maybe like medium sized bones. Guys like Sean O'Malley and Cory Sandhagen are almost 6 feet tall and cut to BW

 

He wasn't 6'. He was 5'10", maybe .5" shorter than GSP. And yes, he had an average bone structure; not thin, just average. And average wingspan/ torso width. So definitely not HW material. Or LW. Or MW. He was probably naturally about the frame size of Cung Le.
