Hard to tell if he believed all that garbage or was trying to convince himself; disrespectful either way.
What Vick overlooked and I’ve tried to point out many times is that Eddie took a ton of damage in their fight and said that if he didn’t finish Justin he felt he would surely lose.
Gaethje’s style is to wear you out and grind you down.
He was successfully doing that against Poirier but the stoppage for eye pokes gave Poirier, the more technical fighter, an extended amount of time to recover and get his wind back which changed the trajectory of the entire fight.
Those are his only losses, and Vick didn’t give him any credit for all the wins. It will be a learning experience for him if he can allow it to be.
Thanks for your feedback JamesNo. He lost and that is part of the game. Nothing to be ashamed.
Vick went into a close cage against Justin Gaethje. That deserves Hespect.
Yeah, Gaethje's only two losses came against elite fighters in absolute wars. It's not like he's ever gone out there and just gotten steamrolled.
And now Vick has done just that!

No, they molest themDo priests touch little boys?
Nothing Vick said was untrue. The only thing was that Vick isn't in that top tier that he thought he was in. Gathje gets years taken off of his life each fight but loses to the top tier. Gathje is in that 2nd tier just below elite but it is mainly because he is willing to get hit to land one. Vick has the tools and talent to beat a Gathje but he lacked the mental part of the game. He worried too much about getting hit that he left himself wide open to the overhand right when retreating.
Gathje is fun to watch but in some ways it is a little sad too.
K.J. Noons vs Krazy HorseIt would be embarrassing but its happened a lot of times.Vick isn't the first fighter to talk a ton of shit then get knocked out.
