You could see him removing his gloves and the commentary team said he threw them into the octagon.

So, has hooker retired?

Na. He's just very disappointed. Poor kid has 2 weeks of isolated lockdown to mull over what just went down. Brutal

Of course not. He sacrificed alot for this and got upset. He will be back.

I love Hookers aggressiveness, toughness, and lanky striking, but he gets hit may too much and doesn’t have the best fight iq. So I don’t see him maintaining success later into his career. There are still plenty of good fights for him though, so I definitely hope he can come back stronger.

He fell for a combination he probably defends 99/100 in training.

Hell be back, it tough for Aus /NZ. Huge travelling both ways plus very strict isolation quarantine when returning home.

very bad loss. Way too tentative against Chandler. He should have put more pressure on Chandler. Chandler is too explosive and powerful to simply be trying to evading for half a round.

Hooker vs RDA, Kevin Lee or the loser of Dober/Islam should have the Aussie back on track.

I was fairly shocked at how physically inferior Dan was though, Chandler is an absolute beast at 155

I was just surprised at how much ground he gave chandler throughout the fight it’s like it was something about Mike he was respecting way too much and didn’t just back up but he was like backing up for dear life at times. Like a slightly less erratic version of Justin in round 1 vs Khabib where he’s like frantic and on ice skates not wanting to get close and have Khabib get a hold of something or shoot. I was thinking maybe he wanted to pick him off and Mike just came out fast but hooker had so much reach it couldn’t have just been that. Couldn’t have been a TD threat cause he’s much bigger and probably was confident he could stuff them. I just think he was trying to get into positions where he could park himself at and maybe get a combination off but Chandler kept pressing and hooker gave him nothing to respect. Weird fight for me

he's taken way too many punches to the head since he's been in the ufc
after the poirier war, he's not the same anymore.
seen this so many times in the past, wouldn't be surprised if his chin can't hang at this level anymore
