Holland is no doubt a beast however and he put Jacare out fair and square. However, the strike that Holland threw of his back is something you just do not see guys throwing.

that's exactly and what happened to Jacare, he didn't see that throwing and he lost the fight

Well no he threw the punch with the intent on landing and did and put him out. He hits hard and is accurate. He's a scary dude but I really would have liked to see it play out on the ground a bit more to see what his ground games really like.

It's not like Holland wasn't looking good before that. I thought if Jacare got on top he'd be f***ed, but I can't think of anyone who handled Jacare's top game so easily. Absolutely nothing lucky about it imo, he earned the position and used it.

Is anyone not gonna favour Holland if they ran it back?

Yes Holland came in game as fuck and was throwing up triangles and elbows off his back prior to that, he would have found another way to finish the fight if it handn’t gone the way it did

Holland actually showed the kind of "danger off his back" that we were allegedly going to see from Ferguson.

But maybe Oliveira is just far superior to Jacare in the grappling department.

<Lmaoo>

I know it was only under two minutes but the whole fight was practically on ground and finished on the ground. What more was there to see?

nope, Jacare is 41 years old. Par for course considering how much fight mileage he has taken

A lot. Nothing happened. Jacare didn't do anything. There wasn't any real grappling that happened.

The daylight jacare gave up in that final position was just white belt shit, sorry. He totally dissapointed the bjj practitioner in me. He wasn't trying to secure the position at all, it looked weird to stay there like as if they were casually rolling during practice. Jacare lost that fight do to low display of fight iq.

I don't know what you consider grappling but I saw at least two takedowns, reversals, scrambles and two submission attempts. My point is, we didn't see more grappling because Holland beat Jacare in the grappling exchanges that eventually set up the finish.

Sure he got taken down and was on bottom but he immediately latched on a triangle and landed hard elbows on Jacare. When Jacare attempted to pass, he used that as an opportunity to stand up. When Jacare attempted another takedown, he threatened with a guillotine and elbows.

When Jacare got him down, he pushed off with butterflies to create space and hit Jacare for the TKO.

That speaks more than if we saw him under Jacare for 15 minutes. We saw a lot of Holland's ground game in that short span.

It was a crazy punch, and no one would have guessed "strikes off his back" as the likely way it ends before the fight, but it wasn't a fluke.

Holland created space with his foot on jacare's hip swung his leg for some added momentum and accurately cracked Jacare on the temple. He followed up while he was stunned. Nothing flukey about any of that.

It was clear that he was overwhelming Jacare from the start. He just relentlessly attacked with strikes and submissions from the beginning and Jacare looked flustered.

I don't think luck at all. Seemed like he had good technique throwing those punches from that angle, he was able to really load up and sway his body toward the punch. I thought it was cool
