the answer is LEO DICAPRIO
2000-2020 should be the same decade imoYou listed 2 2010 films
Meh, I love Depp, but that ain't cutting it.Depp was on top then.
In the 2000s, he was in the films Chocolat (2000), Blow (2001), From Hell (2001), Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), Finding Neverland (2004), Secret Window (2004), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), and Public Enemies (2009). He plays Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, starting with 2003's The Curse of the Black Pearl. For his roles in The Curse of the Black Pearl, Finding Neverland, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Depp was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor.
In 2010, Depp was cast as the Mad Hatter
So far this looks like his stiffest competition, but the TS is cutting it off at 2009.Off the top of my head I think Dicaprio's run in the 2000's shits all over Bales.

I don't know how much being the lead actor is emphasized, here. Bale is the lead actor in almost every film in the OP, and is a marquee billing (or at least a movie poster billing) in every one. I suppose "marquee billing" doesn't really mean anything, anymore, doesn't seem like any of them do that, nowadays.
I thought Tom Hardy would be more competitive, but his 2000's filmography was a bit thinner than I thought it would be. Same for Gary Oldman. Samuel L. was damn busy, but if I restrict to marquee castings only, it's definitely not his best decade. DDL & Kevin Spacey weren't busy enough. Wahlberg was all over the place, but not a serious competitor.

It’s that way in the entire dark knight trilogy. Scarecrow and Bane were both more fun to watch than Bale as Batman. The villains were the real starsYea bale was my third favorite character in that movie
