Did Benson pullout of the MJ fight to fight on the Korea card?

I have been thinking why he pulled out of the fight. As far as I know he didn't have an injury, but pulled out for "disclosed reasons".

As a company man, maybe they needed him for the card and maybe he changed his mind about going back to 155?

I'm sure the main reason he dropped out of the fight was because he wanted IN on the Korea card, would be pretty epic for him.

But if it walks like a duck and quack likes a duck, that means you're a duck. I never said he had a history of ducking, but he just did for this fight.

And I'm guessin MJ would've came in as a big underdog, and I would've picked him to beat Henderson. MJ puts the pressure on Benson and beats him up on the feet

This is a low point in Sherdog posting history. You can hate on Benson if you want, but saying he's ducking a fight is laughable. Dude may have stole a few but hes called out Rory on short notice before.

I don't expect you guys to understand what MJ is capable of in the cage. Not alot of people have caught on, but this guy is an extremely tricky counter striker.

He would've frozen up Benson on the feet. Johnson would've had Benson pressing for TD's every chance he'd get.

In a five round fight he'd eat Michael up. Early on? I could see Johnson landing some good shots. And maybe taking one or two. But he's never been in the deep water and he isn't some KO artist.

Benson would wear him out and tap him out late. Johnson has been tapped in nearly all his losses. Benson would finish him late but it would be a fun fight.

Benson would be the favorite for a reason though.

I'm a big MJ fan and have been catching on since the Ferguson fight....but Benson in a 5 rounder is a tough tough fight for him. Benson's wrestling would definitely play part in the later rounds, but Johnson's boxing is the best in the division in my opinion.

lol at MJ beating Henderson. Benson is an almost perfect match-up against MJ. Ben's kicks will nullify Johnson's punching, and Ben is bigger, stronger, faster, and has better cardio. Ben also has the advantage everywhere on the ground and the clinch. MJ wont be able to get his striking off past round 1 or 2. Ben starts to pull away in rd3 and finishes in 4 or 5.

Even the resumes tell the tale for this fight. Look at who they have fought.
