Did Bellator not go by the Unified Rules of MMA for Bellator 237 as it was in Japan?

This is clearly an illegal kick under the unified rules of MMA, yet Yusuke Yachi got the win by soccer kick KO.

Bellator go full Rizin in Japan or what?

IIRC the Bellator main card was under the usual rules and the postlims with Rizin fighters were under the usual Rizin rules.
yeah it was basically 2 seperate cards back to back. Fedor/Rampage happened before any of the RIZIN fights did, even though it was billed as the main event

The Rizin portion of the card had no International broadcast either. I remember trying to find a stream fruitlessly.

That kick is a perfect example of why soccer kicks are so great and IMO it is no more dangerous and maybe even safer as more fights will quickly be finished instead of guys getting concussion, recovering and then taking a lot more damage.
