I played it a fair amount on my 360 and loved it.
Has anyone played it on 360 then re-bought it on xbone?
If you did, your thoughts?
I was thinking about downloading it tonight on my xbone.
I've got in on the one, but never tried it on the 360. Pretty damn fun game, though. Shit is addictive.
Only gripe would be that split screen sucks because everything is so damn small. Makes it really hard to see what you're doing. Even on a 65 inch.
*eidt* ^^^ missed this post. Also, not sure about the Xbox side, but on PSN I had access to cloud saves and was able to import my character/worlds over to PS4.
I played the crap out of it on the Vita and was excited for it to come to X1/PS4 since they said it would have all of the content. What that really meant is it would have all the content that previous versions had right off the bat, not be caught up to the PC.
I pretty much cleared everything boss wise on the Vita and got all the weapons/armor I wanted. I did buy it on PS4 when it went on sale it pretty much exactly the same, just a lot bigger. If you've accomplished everything you wanted on the 360 there really isn't much need for it on the X1 unless they get another content update and add the new bosses/items.
Starting from scratch would be a lot faster too since you know what you're looking for and proper boss strategy. The only thing I would really dread doing again is farming the Picksaw from the Golem, but even then I got the boss fight down pretty quick and would just reload a save after I burned through all my boss summoning items if I didn't get it.
Thinking about it know I kind of wouldn't mind starting over again, but there are just to many games coming out right now to devote time to it.
How far did you get?
There was a big learning gap at the beginning to figure out what the hell you were supposed to do.
Then another jump in difficulty when you started unlocking the bosses. Getting properly geared up and proper arena set ups for each boss.
Then another jump in difficulty starting hard mode, getting geared up, summoning bosses along with proper arena set up.
By the time you were able to take out Skeletron Prime in hardmode, the final boss was kind of a breeze. The only real thing to do after that for the console version was the Halloween event to farm the pumpkin head boss and farm his weapons.
Yeah, Skeletron was a pain in the ass until I built a proper arena, then he was a cake walk.
Just build one long ass bridge above the castle, high enough to not hit any high terrain. Throw in some campfire/heart lanters for some added health regen. Then get your best ranged weapon with highest damage ammo. Summon him and just back peddle down the sky bridge while firing on him. When you get to the end up the bridge turn around and do it in the other direction. Shouldn't take any real damage, and the regen items should be enough to keep you topped off. Just keep some potions on hand in case things go south.
When you beat him you can summon the Wall of Flesh boss, which beating initiates Hard Mode. You can pretty much use the same strategy except you can't turn around when you run out of bridge. It has to be long enough from the get go to last the duration of the fight.
