Im not a big Joanna fan but i felt like she was robbed. She outstruck Rose in every round and outlanded her by more than 30 strikes.

A lot of those strikes in the 5th were from the end of the fight when she was giving Rose noogies while trying to get up from the TD.

Didn't Fightmetric or one of those sites say that Forrest outstruck Anderson in their fight?

She outlanded her in every round. Your have a rose Av for godsakes. How do we expect you to be impartial ?

Only you and delusional JJ herself.

eh, she landed more but the judges value the shots that hurt your opponent/make them stumble over pitter patter jabs and what not. i can recall 2-3 times where rose found her chin and joanna stumbled back and seemed hurt. i had her winning 48-47 rounds 1 2 and 5 but i can see if round 4 went to her as well like the judges scored it.

Maybe I got sucked into the commentary for a bit, but I felt it was 2-2 going into the 5th and that Rose cemented the 5th round with the takedown.

Actually read my post and ascertain the objectivity

Joanna won via decision but she should have got the knockout to seal the deal and leave it out of the hands of the judges

Rose won 3-2.

Fights aren't judged on fight metrics, if they were there'd be no need for actual judges and fighters would just try and leg kick each other to the decision.

Taekwondo is judged a bit like that, no one watches Taekwondo.

She won the 3rd and 4th, in the fifth she seemed to be throwing more volume but everytime Rose landed it was more significant, I think the decision was right in the end.

I watched the fight, live, on mute. I saw for myself what strikes were significant and insignificant; a fightmetric page doesn't factor in what strikes were damaging and what strikes weren't.

I scored it two ways, and two ways only:

49-47 Namajunas
48-47 Namajunas

Rounds 1, 2, and 5 were 10-9 for Namajunas.
Round 3 was 10-9 for Joanna.
Round 4 was either a 10-10 Draw, or 10-9 Joanna.
No matter how it's scored, you can't argue that Namajunas didn't win 1, 2, and 5.

I'm pretty sure kickboxing judges would have given in to JJ. I thought the leg kicks made the difference.
Rose has crisper boxing though. Glad she won. And she did more damage. New rules are more about damage.
I think If JJ got the nod, Rose would have felt more robbed than JJ right now.

Joanna got battered. She throws little pitter patter mosquito strikes. Rose did damage

Nah, punch stats don't tell you who won a fight - it's won by rounds, and rounds aren't necessarily won by who won the more strikes.

The whole round by round thing is kind of a bad way to score a fight anyhow - because you have situations where Holloway 'lost' his first round against Aldo but the body work he put in that round is why Aldo gassed and lost to him in later rounds.
