Movies Did a Japanese or Korean company ever screw up as badly with a franchise as Disney did with SW?

I honestly cannot think of one franchise ruined as badly but i might be wrong.

Lets add companies from Hong Kong into the mix.

Why does it matter where the company comes from?

The question should just be has a company ever fucked up a franchise more than Disney did with SW.

dont get the need to put asia in there?
Different corporate culture, different culture.

Maybe the Detective Dee franchise is more fucked compared to Star Wars, i don't know. But that is CCP controlled China.

Because Asia is a different place.

And Asia has so many vastly different cultures......

Isn't there some K-pop site you can post this stuff on?

I’d say Toho came pretty fucking close with some of the later Godzilla films in the Showa era, particularly 1969’s “All Monsters Attack” which was odd as it immediately followed 1968’s “Destroy All Monsters” which was imo one of the best ones. But yeah, after the dumpster fire of All Monsters Attack the movies that followed were more bad than good, though I still liked Godzilla vs Gigan and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, but Godzilla vs Hedorah, Godzilla vs Megalon and Terror of Mechagodzilla were all bad such that they took a decade long hiatus from 1975 to 1985 after that run of turds before returning to form with 1985’s the Return of Godzilla.

Megalon Godzilla is best Godzilla.

Elaborate.
You single out Asian countries for wrecking a franchise my whole argument is why signal out Asia? Plenty of Western companies have fucked up franchises (look at the DC supes films).

I am guessing you are Asian and have a bone to pick in the region?

If so, say so. Otherwise you are coming across as a dude just jumping on the "China is bad" band wagon.

What's your opinion on Bruce Lee, was he a fraud?
I barely think of Bruce Lee.

I did not signal out Asia.
