Remember how all the Diaz haters said "Silva via whatever he wants" and "Silva flying knee KO" etc. etc. Silva has the angles, speed and agility to ktfo Diaz. Yes that never happened. Diaz stood toe to toe with the GOAT striker that had the reach and weight advantage on him and fought a pretty even fight, maybe even took a round.

Now we have Diaz vs. Conor and people are saying "Conor via whatever he wants" "Conor has agility and speed on Diaz and uses angles" blah blah blah. We already saw that this kind of fighting is ineffective vs. the Diaz bros style, Anderson barely eeked out the win and that was with a weight and reach advantage. Conor doesn't have the weight or reach advantage that Silva did, and is nowhere near the striker Silva is. He will get clowned by Diaz and it will be the funniest to ever happen in mma.

Yet this time Diaz has the reach and height advantage.

Hmmm.

Agree at worst this is a pick em, in reality should be -350 Diaz. Conor let his ego out of control not demanding 160 at least.

Should be a pretty interesting fight, I don't know who to pick.

This fight will be way more exciting than Nick vs Anderson... That's a guarantee

It wasn't a close fight, but I hear what you're saying.

The one difference is that Conor has much better boxing then Silva and is in his prime.

Anderson silva aint no McGregor.

McGregor will show you the difference in 11 days ;)

Hm. This is not such a bad comparison.
But you have to get into consideration the short notice and the size advantage. Interesting.

It was. Silva dominated everyone in stand up. Against Diaz he hit Diaz only 108 times across 5 rounds whereas Diaz got 77, and no fighters landed really big blows. It was pretty much a stalemate because neither fighter was significantly hurt at any point. It was hardly a fight, but yes if you had to pick a winner it was Silva. If Silva with the weight, height and skill advantage couldn't make something out of Diaz in the stand up, then neither will Conor.

difference is Connor isn't 40 years old over the hill and coming off a KTFO and a horrible career ending injury.
Also you know that this is the OTHER Diaz right? That and its 2 weeks notice. Im just hoping we get a fun fight after alls said and done.

I get what you're trying to say, and I think Diaz might have some moments where he makes it interesting but you're really comparing apples to oranges bruh.

One guy was coming off a long layoff after breaking his leg in half and the other guy is coming off a 13 second KO of one of the P4P best fighters on the planet

63.2% - Silva's strike accuracy
44% - Conor's strike accuracy

Silva also hits harder and is better at dodging punches. Conor will be sucked up into the volume whirlpool that Diaz hurls at him.

The fights aren't even comparable. A) Nick is better than Nate everywhere, B) Anderson was 39 coming off a major injury and hadn't fought in 13 Months, C) Connor is in his prime and just fought 2 months ago. I don't think Connor will finish Nate but he could if he focuses on Nate's body. Either way he will easily dominate this fight and I'm not even a Connor fan.

You seem very confident.

Interested to make a real wager?

It's pretty interesting that Silva is fighting in a couple days and all everyone is talking about is McGregor. Times and the nuts which most hug have changed
