saw the thread calling for diaz/silva being a NC cuz thats logical, no it isnt. Diaz lost, Silva failed his test, but Diaz also failed his, both under their normal license.
Ill explain to you a situation where a fight shouldve been overturned but wasnt..
Lesnar vs Overeem
Remember how the fight was almost called off because Overeem avoided a drug test and wasnt granted a license?
During the pre fight conference, they were testing all fighters with a random test, including Lesnar , who took the test.. and Overeem got in his car and drove away immediately flew back to Holland and the fight was put in jeopardy.
Overeem was given a hearing and given a conditional license where he would have to pass the pre-fight screening but also TWO post fight random screenings while under the license or else license would be invalid.
Overeem failed one of those random post fight tests, making his license invalid, therefore didn't obide by the conditions given to him which gave him a license to fight Brock Lesnar, therefore the fight must be overturned to a No Contest.
But nope, it was swept under the rug and handled as if he was not on a conditional license, and kept a win under Overeem's record since Lesnar was retired.

Alistair Overeem's long-awaited UFC debut as well as a UFC 141 match with pay-per-view powerhouse Brock Lesnar was threatened after Overeem's request for a Nevada fighter's license was debated during the state's athletic commission in a Monday hearing.
In a meeting at the Grant Sawyer State Office Building in Las Vegas, commission executive director Keith Kizer told the governing body that he had difficulty in setting up a random drug test with Overeem after informing him of his intentions on November 17.
And now, almost a month later and with less than three weeks to go until the fight, they have yet to receive test results from him.
Overeem said that after being notified of that, he took a urine test on Dec. 7, but neither he nor the NSAC have yet to receive the results. In addition, Overeem admitted that he took the second test at his personal doctor's office and sent it off to a lab in Germany.
As a result, NSAC was faced with a decision of whether or not to license him.
A commissioner explained that Overeem was given notice on November 17 and coincidentally returned to Holland from the U.S. on the same day.
Commission members later said they believed Overeem's version of events, but one commissioner noted that "the public wants to feel comfortable with this."
After a motion to grant him a conditional license based mostly upon the result of that Dec. 7 test failed, a compromise was offered where he would offer an observed urine test at an independent lab within 72 hours, the standard pre-fight test before the event, and then he would be subject to two random drug tests in the next six months at his own expense.
Overeem accepted the terms, which were approved by the commissioners in a subsequent vote.
As a result, Overeem has a conditional license.
The overeem/lesnar situation was one of the most overlooked so obvious cases of steroids in the UFC.
