Before yesterday I never thought I would see Diaz flustered. I feel Diaz lost the fight in his mind, and in his corner, five rounds before the fight went to the judges. I hope Diaz comes back better and stronger, both physically and mentally. What say you?

diaz wasnt exposed, he just never faced an opp who had the phys ability (power/strength and durability) to blunt his forward progress; and grind him out, he faced plenty of skilled guys, lots of athletic guys and hard hitters.
but he hadnt faced a guy who could take his measure and return it in kind; freitas was not mentally there, julio lacked the phys strength and durability, lavaka lacked the all round athleticism and skills.
he faced guys w/certain adv; but never someone w/all the skills together, an when he did he got tested and failed miserably. Juan didn't quit outright; but he stopped trying to win the fight, he's a front runner... he can't come from behind. An when i sauy behind i mean when he is getting beat the f*ck up..
i called it from day one in a thread i wrote when the fight was announced; campbell has been underrated, an diaz thought nate would be unfocused or inconsistent. Nate came in focused and when he is focused only one guy has beat him; an that was a guy who was mentally tougher, more experienced, physically tougher and tech better than juan.

Same here, I was flipping from showtime to hbo all night and missed it. I did watch the heavy weight fight which wasn't bad.

Well last night showed that when you bully the bully, they'll back away. Diaz looked like he wanted to quit after the 8th round. He has heart, but he was just outclassed last night. When he's behind late he also can't go for the KO because he has no power.
I think whoever he fights from now on is gonna take it to him and the work the buddy primarily.

Diaz lost the fight because he couldn't see out of one side of his face. Lampley actually said something meaningful, intelligent, and correct last night during the fight when Diaz was fading.

I've been preachin' Katsidis for awhile, thought he was going to be the guy to out-gun Diaz (still do, Katsidis is scarily fucking strong) but GODAMN I'm telling you guys, Casamayor is REALLY going to have to fuck up to lose this one. I pray Michael has brushed up on his wrestling, because he's going to need to throw Casa around and punish him enough to stop or outwork him. This style matchup says bad bad bad. Dread. Worry. Sorrow.

I really thought the only way a anyone was gonna ever have a chance at beating Juan D, would be to box from the outside, standing toe to toe was not even an option with this guy.But Nate beet him at his own game and he deserves all the glory man, he really proved everyone wrong. That eye was grotesque.
Although I disagree that it will take a huge lapse on Casamayor's part in order for Katsidis to win, I do think that Casamayor is a bad matchup @ present for Katsidis (From Kat's perspective).
I certainly don't believe that the folks proclaiming the death of Joel are correct in their assessment of how this fight will play out, and I don't think Joel's going to have an easy time either.
If Joel comes to fight it could be a barn burner. When he was in his prime I used to love watching him fight. Lately, however, it looks like that fighter is long gone.
It's more likely, IMO, that Casamayor will have his track shoes on and try to stink out a decision.

Headbutt? Punch? Laces? Who the fuck cares, that cut could have stopped the fight in the 6th fuckin round. His retarded cutman didn't close that horizontal vag on his eyelid one iota.
