According to UFC Embedded, the UFC's new fluff blog, Nick Diaz just called Dana. Am I being too optimistic to hope that this means we're gonna see Diaz v the Immortal as the main event on the San Jose Fox card?

I could imagine that conversation.
Nick: Dana you got my money ?
Dana: Jesus fuck off Nick, I'll give you 200k to fight and another 200k to win and for fuck sakes make it exciting and I'll cut you a bonus cheque.
Nick:........ I guess.

I tried looking up what you were talking about but couldn't find it.

Link please?

They ain't putting no Diaz Bro on broadcast FOX. They'd have to bleep out and shift to a shot of a dark venue for 50% of the bout due to F bombs and middle fingers.

Nate has already fought on 3 fox shows

I would be hyped as shit if that happened, but I'm obviously not getting my hopes up.

Nate Diaz has already main evented 2 Fox cards and was on the main card on a 3rd.

That's in July, I really doubt they go with that. That's a quick turn around for a dude that hasn't fought in a long time.

If he were to come back I could see them Main Eventing him for that early September PPV. UFC 177.

I think you could go Brown or Lawler and it would sell well. Not likely that Jones/Gus fights there, that's the only option really for it.

So why not, let Diaz Main event. Give him some of the PPVs cause if it sells well its because of him. Then give the winner next dibs for a title shot.

I know. FOX shifted to a shot of an empty dark venue during the bout. I think FOX learned their lesson. Nate's even more defiant now than before, so...

If Nick Diaz were to fight it would be on PPV and I can guarantee that.

Must be new to watching UFC on Fox cards...

at least put a little bit of effort in your hatred of the Diaz bros...stop being lazy!

Dana has already said there's no way Nick will fight Brown in the near future. So no, this fight isn't happening.

Dana said there's no way he'll let Nate fight Matt. He said they'll make Nick vs Matt is Nick wants it.

when was the last time a non title fight headlined a ppv? I don't disagree with the timing though. Diaz/Brown co-main with Gus/Jones rematch as a headliner? Oh myyyy, those two fights alone already has my money.

I wouldn't be too optimistic about Nick fighting unless it's for a title (unlikely) or a huge enough pay(if they haven't granted one for him already then it might not happen at all).
But giving him money is propably the best option to get him fight.

"They want me to fight Matt Brown, but I like Matt Brown. I love the guy. He's a fucking hard worker. I'm not trying to fight nobody."
Yes, sadly you're being too optimistic.
