I'm a big Diaz brothers fan so I might be a bit biased here but I really feel like this win has propelled the Diaz Bros legacy a lot. As we all know Nick has always been the more well known, popular and more succesful fighter. Although this Nate win imo propels him to very high point - he just beat the biggest hype train we've seen in the UFC for a long while (possibly ever) in impressive style. To me it seems like if anyone was going to beat McGregor it'd be the best if it were a Diaz bro - a real, hardworking, classic no nonsense, blue collar fighter. This will be in the history books forever - and has to be one of the biggest (if not the biggest) moments in Diaz brothers history. I think in the future when we look back and appreciate these awesome guys this moment will be one of the moments that stands out the most.
What do you guys think this does for their legacy?

In my opinion.... I don't like all the "209" stuff (Stockton is a major shit
Hole) but those dudes have brass balls, work hard, great skills, and tough as hell. Nothing but respect for both of them

I dont think they go down as the best at anything. That said... i like both of them. What makes them fun to watch is they dont lnp. They dont do exactly what the ufc wants all the time like slaves. Theyre 2 guys who grew up in a rough neighborhood and like to fight.

Thats what I think is so fitting about Nate being the one to beat Conor. Conor was/is a corporate fighter hyped up by media and pushed by the UFC's promotional and PR team whereas as you said the Diaz bros grew up in a tough neighbourhood and just like to fight. They are true and core fighters/Mixed martial artists and I think its great that this has prevailed

Uh.. How does this win help Nick "Almost-Was" Diaz's legacy? The story of that guy's career is a day late, a dollar short, couldn't keep it up when it really counted. Good fighter with some good accomplishments, but he'll always go down as the guy who could never quite keep it together to get to the top. I'm hoping this win helps propel his ultimately far more impressive brother out of the shadow cast by that giant weed-activist cloud always floating around Nick, making him a hero to a bunch of degenerate potheads.
