Murica, you need to limit senators to 2 terms and congress to maybe 3 or 4. She lost her wits almost a decade ago and yet you still allowed her to zombie on.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) needed to be corrected by a staffer on Tuesday that her office had put out a statement announcing her decision to retire from her Senate seat.

A reporter asked Feinstein, 89, if she had any message for her Senate colleagues after her retirement statement was issued by her office.

Feinstein asked the reporter what he was referring to, and he responded that he meant about her decision to not run for reelection.

“Well, I haven’t made that decision. I haven’t released anything,” she said.

“Senator, we put out your statement,” a staff member for Feinstein quickly cut in.

“You put out the statement?” Feinstein responded. “I should have known they put it out.”

In her statement, Feinstein said that she would finish out her term, which is set to end in January 2025, but not run for reelection next year.

wow, 89 and she's still in the business?

I'm pretty impressed. but yea, maybe there should be mandatory cognitive tests bi-annually to determine if one still possesses their mental faculties.

tbh, does anyone really want to continue working at that age? in any profession?

shouldn't she be relaxing in Cabo somewhere?
At that age, you'd be lucky of you're not shitting in your adult diaper let alone enjoying anything in life.

There should be a retirement age limit for politicians. If we consider the elderly to be on physical and mental decline, why do we let them lead the country?

Term limits don’t directly stop a politician who is cognitively declining from holding a seat. An age limit would be more direct but still not perfect. Term limits just assure that’s there’s never career expertise around the house or senate. Lobbyists would have far more control either cycling in candidates they want or being able to wait out someone not complying with the measures they want. It’s a populist idea that isn’t actually good once you kick the tires.

If she's really that bad, she should definitely step down immediately.

Do you ever do anything but troll?

not really. but sorry i was just giving some parting words to one of our fellow chuds, but a mod seemed to delete that comment of his as well as a dozen or so of his other posts today before slapping the banhammer on him. that dude came down with a severe case of BDS and had a nuclear meltdown and started spewing a bunch of garbage in random threads like this. you missed out on that.

How's she do during the debates during her last reelection campaign?

The sad thing is that it was her office that leaked the “bombshell” about justice kavanaugh being a satanic gang raper.

that was just a few years ago when she was already clearly gone. Where are her classified documents? Let’s see her offices and home.

think of how much division and hate that travesty that literally shows a joke banana republic, all cause of her office. Good riddence. Nothing but a power hungry bish, destroying this country

wasn’t there just an assassination attempt in him? Who leaks roe v Wade? Who leaked from Feinstein office? No one knows cause they too busy investigating upset parents are school boards.

this is your government ladies and gentlemen. Let it set in and marinate.
