PREDICTIONS on George St. Pierre VS Johny Hendricks

“There has always been talk that a fighter with one-punch knockout power would knockout George St. Pierre. They have been saying this since Thiago Alves, but it has not happened. The results have always been the same. He has outclassed them all. A “Johny Hendricks” type fighter can’t beat George St. Pierre.”

“Personally, I want George St. Pierre to win. If Hendricks manages to become champion all the fighters who have already lost to St. Pierre will start clawing for their title shots again. It would cause a lot of chaos for the division. I really don’t want that to happen. GSP has beaten almost everyone in the top 10. In this situation, a fighter with a win streak might get an opportunity for the title shot. My wish is to fight George St. Pierre before I retire.”

Whew , whilst I believe in self confidence DHK needs to up his game first!
 
As the poster above mentioned a fight with shields would be good. Just to see where his grappling is at. If anyone can out grapple shields after the Maia fight they deserve high praise.
 
Good interview. He's a tough match up for anyone but as far as gsp goes not so much. Someone is going to need to be really well rounded to beat Georges. No way the dong is gonna out grapple his way to a win against the king of 50-45.
 
I understand him wanting to fight the best. He's been fighting in UFC for years with pretty impressive 10-2 record 1 of them being a freak injury. he is not getting any younger so I want to see him against top 5

This is true! I was amazed by Shields in that fight.
 
Also the part about if Georges loses is completely true. Everyone is gonna want the shot at johny if he wins. Condit, rory, Shields etc.

DHK fought Erick Silva in Brazil than flew all the way back to South Korea than to China to compete in ADCC in a weight class above him against Romulo Barral in the first round. He doesn't shy from challenges.
 
Hey DHK, lets get you in against Lombard. You said you'd fight a hyped prospect.
 
Yeah, Thiago Alves and Johny Hendricks aren't really similar, at all. Stupid comparison.
 
I don't think it's fair to Hendricks to say he is "that type" of fighter. Roberto Duran was that type of fighter when he beat Sugar Ray Leonard. Joe Frazier was that type of fighter when he beat Ali. BJ Penn was that type when he beat Hughes.

If Hendricks trained his ass off and won't be denied (mentally), he can destroy GSP because he has skills and power. Fights aren't done on paper. Hendricks is a scary MOFO and if he's well conditioned, something most any fighter can do, he can win this fight.
 
Give him Rory. . .on second thought, if Hendricks loses tomorrow night, put DHK in there with Big Rig.
 
I like DHK interviews. He always gives a good analysis and talks like an actual knowledgeable fighter. With that said, he would lose 50-44 to GSP. He should fight Lombard or Shields. Condit/Brown and Rory/Lawler are too high on the totem pole for him
