What they want they don't deserve... Why? Because neither of these guys can draw. Sure, Alexander can draw some people from his hometown, but not enough tune in to watch him fight. Bradley? Fuck... That guy can't even fill ballrooms in his hometown. They might be the elite at 140, but they don't bring elite fandom. At the end of the day, HBO has a limited bankroll and they put it to good use in which it would be beneficial for them.

Those guys earning low 7 figs is what they deserve. That's the truth. If you want more money, delay the fight and build your career with highly regarded contenders and popular fighters and then go from there. It could be worse... You bitches could be paid 40K in a fight billed as the biggest heavyweight fight ever...

*Personally, I am not vexed that this fight is not getting made. Why? There are still a lot of fighters these guys haven't fought. They didn't wipe out the division... Khan, Maidana, Ortiz, newly reinvigorated Zab Judah, possibly former kingpin Ricky Hatton. When these two whiners clean up, then this fight would have the hype it deserves and they will get the money they want.

Is this a joke thrown in there to catch people out? Because he has not fought at that weight in 8 years and has not won a meaningful fight in 5 years. The guy has the fortitude of a wet piece of paper.

Of course Hatton and Zab haven't proved they still belong up there at 140. Of course fucking not, but they are big, big names... You want build casual attraction, you put down some household names. These might end up being easy fights for them and they get good money for fighting them too. Crush them and build your popularity. Honestly, I am not in a hurry to see this fight. I am not. Both Bradley and Devon haven't beat real significant fighters (if anyone counts, it would be Urango). Beating old ass junior witter, old ass campbell, and faulty Holt isn't that impressive. To be honest, how Devon got his title is bullshit...

But I digress... When one of these guys fight a prime and consistent fighter like Maidana and Khan... Take them out of the picture and then I'll get the itch. But as of now, I don't care too much... They might be number 1 & 2, but they got to clean out the division first. That hasn't been done.

    ^^

Kind of agree to a certain extent but Khan has beaten no one at 140 either, he has fed himself on blown up lightweights or guys that can't punch for a lick like Malignaggi. I would like to see a tourney involving Khan, Bradley, Maidana and Alexander. That would be interesting. Khan v Maidana and Bradley V Alexander with winners to take on each other. Khan needs to fight Maidana next otherwise he is ducking him imo.

That's the point... None of these guys have fought each other. There is still shit to be sorted before a super fight at 140 can happen. I honestly don't know why people say this is the second best fight that can be made in boxing. These two guys haven't clean up nothing yet. Don't get me wrong... It's an interesting fight, but neither of these guys have garnered the positions that make this a super fight.

Khan is a dangerous fighter... His defense looks 10 times since his days in the UK. If he can defend his chin well enough, his speed, power, height, reach, ring dexterity... They could spell trouble for both Bradley and Alexander. Esp. Alexander after his performance with Kotelnik. I wouldn't be totally surprised if he ends up being the one on top when all is said and done.

It's unfortunate that these guys aren't drawing more, especially Bradley, who is always fun to watch. I thought Alexander got lucky against Kotelnik and I don't really believe him to be better than Kahn or Maidana yet. Bradley vs Kahn is more apealing to me then the other match ups. Bradleys fast combos, and blazing footwork vs Khans piston jab, speed and timing. Plus having pac to help him get ready for a real mover like Bradley, who tends to walk into shots occasionaly. I bet that would be a more lucrative fight as well. Alexander is still the most unkown of the bunch imo.

I hear what you guys are saying but if we could get them all to fight each other right now, we would have a true super star come out of the div. If Marcos,Khan,Braldey,Devon and Ortiz fight each other over the next year. One would come out of the mix as a true superstar if he was able to beat the rest or finish a top of the group. I wish they would have a tournament like the super six with these guys in it, it would so who the best at 140.

I think 140 is the deepest division in boxing at the moment. I'd love a tourney as well.

No... To me, all the top 140s right now are still developing as fighters. Have they really fought other top tier fighters out there? Not really...

Even before the tournament started, more than half of the roster fought a few real, peaked fighters on their resume. And of course they have Andrade, Bika, and Bute out there. And a few second tier, just behind guys like Stieglitz and Balzsay.

Ok, then Duck. Who else in the div could they fight if not each other. Who would be some names that you would want to see them fight first before each other. There is Zab and the guy Devon just beat but who else at 140. Katasis maybe, Berto if he wants to come down but I think they should go up to fight him, Marquez maybe, what other guys could you think of.

I didn't say I wouldn't watch the fight. I'll watch it. What I am saying is that they are whinny bitches and think they deserve ton lot more money yet they haven't done enough to really earn it. It will only be a super fight at 140 when they are the last two men standing. They are not... Maidana and Khan are still in the picture. Ortiz can still be in the mix... While Zab did get a boost fight with Santa Cruz, but he can still be thrown in there because he's a big name and he looked like he's been in the best shape in years.

I agree with pretty much everything you said except the zab part, but on the other hand zab does have a famous name. You beat zab it could get your name out there more. Hopefully if this fight gets made they will try to clean this div. out.
On a side note I cant knock Bradley, he did sign on twice to fight Maidana, and Maidana flaked out for whatever reason you choose to believe. So at least hes trying.

I don't know what they expect really. Both are unknown names. Alexander is just getting to the point where he is a recognizable name in his hometown and Bradley can't draw shit at that casino in Southern California. Neither has been in a big fight. Both looked good, not great in their last fights. Khan can whup both of them, and make more money doing it.

Bradley wants no part of any of them. He has already made the money excuse. Alexander looked like complete shit in his last fight. They need to do a tournament like they're doing with the super middleweights. That tournament is the best idea boxing has had since Holmes/Cooney. I love boxing but hate the fighters of today. They have excuses for not fighting each other. Mayweather has that title.

Agreed except for the Judah and Hatton part.

I am not losing sleep over this considering the fact that Devon didn't even look good in his last fight. For him to expect bank after his last outing against Kotelnik (some thought Kotelnik won that fight) is delusional.

It can definately wait. A tourney would awesome. HBO would be smart to jump on that idea since ShoBox has really stepped it up with the Super Six. Maidana FTW!
