Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intel Committee, will resign in January. New job will be CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group, despite having no experience working in tech or as an executive, although the Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient does have an abundance of experience being a top Trump sycophant. Nunes was of course one of 147 Republicans who voted to overturn our election results.

Shares of DWAC, the SPAC that plans to merge with Trump's company, reached a high of $175 a share the day the deal with Trump Media & Technology Group was announced. Shares have fallen precipitously since, although the Nunes announcement caused them to gain 6%. They currently sit at $46.50.

The official beta version of Trump's "Truth Social" app was supposed to be released in November, although the deadline came and went with no product.

Devin Nunes tried and failed to sue parody twitter accounts DevinNunesCow and DevinNunesMom for $250 million so naturally he's a good fit to run a social media company has ostensibly been created to combat censorship in social media lol

Devin Nunes once sued Twitter and 3 of its users for $250 million. In 2019. They ran parody accounts that made fun of him. One was supposedly his mom...another was his cow. He said they ran "an orchestrated defamation campaign, one that no human being should ever have to bear and suffer in their whole life." I guess that's what qualifies him for this.

Didn't they use a special investment vehicle rather than issue proper shares.

A clear pump and dump scheme if there ever was one.

I heard that about CEO's of Trump steaks, Trump Casinos, Trump hotels, Trump Air, New Jersey generals football team....
yep, all those people are probably living on the streets penniless...

If there was an actual CEO of Trump Steaks and he was compensated based on business performance he might be.

Trump Steaks was sold through Sharper Image. It lasted 2 months and the CEO of Sharper Image says they probably didn't even sell $50,000 worth.

The dude known for suing a cow on Twitter that made fun of him…. Is being picked to lead a social media outlet?

Looking forward to what comes of TRUTH Social and Rumble.

Very interesting.

What does the cow think about this? No, I'm not talking about Trump, but about Nunes's cow.

I bet their pay and benefits for software engineers will be hot garbage.

how much was the ceo compensated?

You guys aren't thinking deeply enough here. Social media company presumably owned by well-connected politician hires another well-connected politician to be the CEO despite a lack of experience running such companies.

But what does Nunes probably bring to the table? Access to a significant donor list.

A significant donor list and now authority over a propaganda production mill (since that's what most social media turns into when it comes to politics). Why do they need a traditional PAC or Super PAC when you can just give money to this company and then let it run all of the pro-Trump, anti-other posts and media that it wants? They don't.

My opinion is that this is a clever end run around campaign finance and donor rules.

I'm sure he won't get thrown under the bus when this company goes down in flames. Surely Donald Trump would never do such a thing to such a good friend.
Looking forward to Trump denigrating him after it fails. Can we guess a good nickname he will make up - maybe Looney Nuney?
