Ngannou is overrated, underskilled and less experienced.
Lewis 19-5 (17 TKOs)
Ngannou 11-2 (7 (T)KOs, 4 subs)
Neither fighters are known for their cardio or strong ground games. Both like to athletically explode and bang their opponents out on the feet as soon as possible. Ok Ngannou does have 1 UFC sub, against Hamilton so he is perhaps slightly the more versatile fighter. Lewis has heavy GnP though.
Ngannou is slightly taller and longer - they are both 265ers.
Overall these fighters do seem quite evenly matched, however I think the main difference is the depth of their portfolios. Lewis has almost double the number of fights overall and double the number of UFC fights. He has been to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds plenty of times and has faced a much wider variety of dangerous opponents across the octagon. Ngannou's only big wins are Overeem, who has a glass chin, and Blaydes, who was very green and was stopped by a cut.
Black Beast is 7-1 in his last 8 fights, all of the wins were (T)KOs except Nelson, which was a split decision. Ngannou does not have the wrestling or BJJ game of Big Country. It took former K1 champion Hunt 4 rounds to finish Derrick. Predator does not have 4 rounds of measured and varied striking output even in his wildest dreams. He throws wild bombs and likes to bully and chase his opponents across the cage. If Lewis believes in himself and steps up and goes first I am confident he will rock Francis's world and we will get another one of these beauties:
