Anthony Joshua looked a little slow against Joseph Parker, especially in the first 4 rounds, Parker was much quicker and hard to hit he just didn't have the reach or size to land more shots. My point of this is that Wilder definitely has a chance against Joshua with his speed, size and power in his right hand. If Joshua starts out against Wilder like he did against Parker he could be knocked out cold. One more point, in the Joshua vs Parker fight there wasn't one punch thrown even close to as hard as what Wilder throws. I may be in the minority but I think Wilder upsets Joshua with a surprise knockout.

Wilder needs aj more than aj needs him..

He's fighting in great venues but last time out put like 7/8 thousand on seats.
Where aj just filled a 80,000 seat stadium..

Aj is becoming very well known, where nobody outside of boxing knows who wilder is..

Wilder runs his mouth but does nothing about it..
All bluff and no stuff..

The fights there to be made, but like hearn said, no contact has been made whatsoever..

Put up or shut up wilder..

If anything Id say the earlier rounds favour AJ, he didnt look it tonight but he did cut the ring off fairly well without barely throwing anything.

I'm just guessing but probably the bit where AJ fought a composed 12 round fight against another champion who had never even been knocked down let alone stopped .......... and quite frankly bar a few exchanges AJ made it look comfortable.
 
Wilder is a big unit but doesn't have 1/3 the ringcraft Joe Parker has. AJ handles him with ease.
 
Let's see how wilder does against parker before we jump the gun.
That fight would be very telling right about now if we don't get the Joshua wilder fight
 
Joshua didn't even get out of 2nd gear, he didn't need too. He was a bit over cautious compared to his normal fights, but there was alot on the line.

If parker had been more of a threat Joshua had atleast another 3 gears he could of gone up. But parker didn't have the threat to bring it out of him.

I like Joshua, and think he should of took a few more risks and finished him rather than just cruising.

But i think it shows how much better he is than the rest of the division. That he barely got going and still made it look easy.

AJ won the fight fair and square but this conjecture at best if not flat out disingenuous.

To be honest I believe it. It wasn't impressive and it didn't look good. But he damn sure got that other belt and won.
 
Using the Parker fight to get an idea how a Wilder fight would go makes no sense.
Wilder isn't going to back up for 12 rounds and only throw an occasional jab, Wilder is going to come forward, throw and try and win it.

The fight is going to be offered to both fighters and Wilder isn't going to sign, despite being offered much more than he's ever earned, he'll want more money and use that as an excuse not to take the fight.

They are probably about equal in popularity in the U.S. which isn't massive but the difference is that AJ is massive in the UK and well more know in most other places as well.
