They wont get it after. Hopefully they get there way.

A person has to be a capitalist bootlicker to oppose 10000 relief for student loan debt.
Maybe be wiser with your student loans? Just a thought.

Not me. but this exact mentality is gross and is commonly used by some on the right who love the idea that it is everyone for themselves except white farmers and corporations.

Stop weaponizing student loan debt and acting like everyone with it is some pink haired lesbo leftist calling for ending the patriarchy. This nation has massive corp debt and student loan debt that is contributing to a growing bubble that will blow and ruin everything for most people.

It looks like negotiations are still ongoing. But Mitch was to vote anyway.

According to the article(s) the $500 billion is a corporate loan that would have to be repaid by the major corps who take it.

There's a provision that they wouldn't even have to reveal who is getting it for six months! This is comically corrupt, especially given Trump's history of abusing his power for political reasons. Democrats would have to be morons to agree to it. They should pass a real relief bill.

Imagine trying to ram through a big ol crony capitalist $500B no strings attached bailout then blaming the other side for politicizing relief for workers

Just stop the a Fox News hysteria

I’m all for the dems negotiating for more oversight in the senate bill but that’s not their strategy. They’re trying to poison the well by adding so much superfluous bullshit that it can’t get passed at all. It’s shitty party politics at the worst time imaginable. The Democrat party fucking sucks horse dick

Maybe...but give me one good reason why they're trying to add in new emission standards for Airlines, to this bill?

You’re gonna sit here and complain about the airline industry having to install some carbon emissions as they’re asking for billions of tax payer dollars?

it’s so funny anyone would take Mitchs word on this slush fund bill after all the underhanded things he’s been involved with throughout the years.

The republicans don’t care if corporations use the slush fund to buy back stock instead of doing the right thing with the money.

Democrats want to the bill to expand in certain areas and GOP simply does not.

Yes after the election too. People can’t even read between the lines

lack of actions by democrats and republicans back during the peak of this virus in china (with all attention on our impeachment sham) and furthermore the actions and demeanor shown by the desperate democrats towards our POTUS for taking the first step of banning flights from China back then during the impeachment trials is directly why we’re in this mess today hastily discussing legislative measures to help our nation recover and get back to business.

Are you following along, Krusty? You seem lost honestly.<36>

I don’t care how mean they were to Trump. Nothing in this bill is contingent on patting him on the head and telling him how great and not racist he is. This is the GOP trying to pass a pile of shit that stacks the deck for rich people and leaves tons of people completely fucked which when it comes right down to it is their sole reason for existing. They don’t do anything else, ever.

Why are Dems opposed to helping out fellow Americans during a crisis? You know, the party that is supposed to represent the struggling American? No matter how much you twist this, this is not a good look for Democrats one bit.

The Democrats are shitting themselves to avoid allowing a GOP bill to provide those relief checks. This is where their priorities are

why is it okay for everyone to be handed welfare suddenly? how is a one time payment of 1200usd going to help?

wont people demand more payments after a month when situation gets even worse?

main focus should be on giving business money so they can pay their workers, not handing out everyone money for free
fucking commie freeloaders, you sicken me

Imagine if someone told America "Maybe be wiser with your emergency funds". How long would it take that person to be drawn and quartered?

The spin is hilarious. They really think people are gonna be on the Dems' side for repeatedly blocking this bill. At this rate, the Dems will get about 8 votes in November, all courtesy of the War Room Goof Troop.

Apparently the Senate bill not cancelling thousands of dollars of student debt is one of the main sticking points for Democrats.

This is really despicable.
These people are working for China (not America). I wonder how many of these people are beholden to China either because they were J. Edgar Hoovered in the 2014 Chinese hack or because they are financially in bed with China. Wake up and stop voting these people into office, America.

If this doesn't pass due to the Dems basically rendering a new mutated version of TDS, they are fucked and will not win the white house next election.
They already knew they were losing, and that is why they are willing to completely destroy our civilization.

it won’t work at the present moment but, unlike the senate, pelosi has the ability to ram her even-more-pork-laden bill through. At that point they’ll attempt to shift the narrative that McConnell is holding their bill up. It’s transparent as shit and the Democrats are fucking slime

didnt Trump make america great again? how is it possible that citizens of the richest nation in the world cant afford food? didnt trump brag about lowest unemployment numbers on record? why give out welfare when everyone is working?

lmao
Things have changed from the outbreak and a lot of people aren’t working.

It always comes down to enjoying suffering of those with debt. It makes one feel superior.

Always the arguments against student loan costs and forgiveness is always ´´´´They get what they deserve I dont have any serves them right´´´or something of that sort.

It's also crazy that McConnell, who effectively blocked stimulus for most of Obama's presidency, is now acting outraged that Democrats are not passing his bill. It's not even like they're opposing all stimulus. They just want a plan that is better-designed and not blatantly corrupt.

So best practice would be ignore all the other massive amounts of good in the bill, because of the disbursement/discretion portion, and wait until "at least Friday" (new timeline) to try again while rewriting the entire thing and adding the debatable student loan debt wipes to it? Rather than revising that portion which I agree is terrible, on a bill that is mostly beneficial in a crisis time, that massively helps the lower/middle class and small businesses? Not seeing it. Lots of time wasted playing political games while people's livelihood is literally as stake. And also like I mentioned, Senators on tv making things up about the bill like pretending it doesn't help small businesses rather than addressing the point you just made so we can help everyone faster. That more makes it look like they're not prioritizing what's most important.
