Law Dems blocking Senate relief bill bc it doesn't cancel $10k of student debt

The democratic leadership is now openly attempting to destroy this nation, and crash our economy.

They're doing so only in the name of gaining and preserving power.

Two weeks ago, it would have been hyperbole to call the democratic leadership enemies of this nation, now it's looking like an understatement.

Although it may seem disheartening, and depressing to think about it, it's actually best if we just embrace accelerationism. The quicker we can speed things up, the sooner corrections can be made. If this was a long game, Democrats could eventually slowly but surely fulfill the Globalist goal. The sooner people look around and witness actual things crashing, and weirdo Democrats being way too obvious the better.

you just said that is nice to taking this seriously before it had to come to this point? Some type of precautionary measure or even laud the POTUS for doing so with the travel ban initially? Why even take sides if you know both parties are inherently the same? TDS?

Who gives a fuck about any of this dumb shit? It has nothing to do with what we’re discussing. It doesn’t even have anything to do with Trump really. He’ll sign whatever ends up on his desk without even looking at it. This is about Mitch McConnell using a crisis to help rich people loot the country.

Quit being such a goddamn rube.

Just give us all $1000!

Nice thought. Do it after. Not now. Not... Now.

Credit to Pelosi and Schumer for finally showing a backbone

We have to fight like hell we can’t compromise it all away

Read the room though.

They're one slip up away from literally calling for Democrats to be charged with treason. Nobody gives a shit if the GOP owns this, they're conditioned to blame Democrats.

Like a cult.

Anybody seeing this?

Why are Republicans opposed to $10000 being wiped from student loans?

Why are Dems opposed to helping out fellow Americans during a crisis? You know, the party that is supposed to represent the struggling American? No matter how much you twist this, this is not a good look for Democrats one bit.

So the Dems are proposing a 1000+ page bill as their alternative that contains crap like provisions on election law, payment for student loans, same-day voter registration, collective bargaining powers for unions, increased fuel emission standards for airlines, and the expansion of wind and solar tax credits as well as require corporations to include gender and racial diversity data to be reported to the federal government if they receive financial backing from the government just to name a few.

Guess they're not just interested in some pork with their bill, they want the whole hog.

This needs to be absorbed by more people.

lack of actions by democrats and republicans back during the peak of this virus in china (with all attention on our impeachment sham) and furthermore the actions and demeanor shown by the desperate democrats towards our POTUS for taking the first step of banning flights from China back then during the impeachment trials is directly why we’re in this mess today hastily discussing legislative measures to help our nation recover and get back to business.

Are you following along, Krusty? You seem lost honestly.<36>

“He knew.” - Democrat spin
“They knew.” - Fact of the matter. Both R’s & D’s.

Don’t just blame one party was the crux of my argument when i first responded to your comment; which you tried to paint one side as worse than the other when they are both two sides of the same coin.

It don’t matter bc they have the same personal self interests if you don’t realize it by now. All done to self-enrich somehow, someway. The mirage is what furthers the divide amongst the constituents arguing on their behalfs.

Well this is a hill to die on because if working people get the shaft we will have riots

Obviously the far right leaders don’t care because they see profit in an ensuing chaos so it’s extremely important for the left to stand firm

I think Republicans should try removing the provision for Trump to just give money to whomever he wants and put forth a real bill that actually addresses the problems we have.

According to the article(s) the $500 billion is a corporate loan that would have to be repaid by the major corps who take it. So if United Airlines for example gets $5bil out of the $500 bil, they will be receiving it as a loan. The rest of the 1.5 trillion goes to all the stuff we rave about, small low/medium income, small business, health care, extra money for unemployment, etc. If we're talking about the President having too much authority about the allocation of the $500 billion section of the package, I would agree with that 100%, and we should all be working on getting that part fixed. Then get this rolled out as swiftly as possible afterwards which would be in the very immediate future. Not taking days away from the table because the current one is "too different" from their vision (which doesn't even make sense given what's in it), putting everything on hold, wasting precious time so they can draw up an entirely different package. We already have a package that is very beneficial to the people of the country and the economy, tweak it so it goes from good to great.

To add on to why I'm more worked up than usual, I'm working atm and currently have the channel on MSNBC. Wisconson Senator Tammy Baldwin was literally just on saying that it was rejected "because it didn't do anything for small businesses, and I, we, want to focus the most on small business and the working class". Like really? It didn't do anything for small businesses?? That's what we're saying on tv?? This is an ugly display of politics imo.

Dems aren't opposed to the Bill in its entirety. They like a lot of it. But they see aspects of the Bill as ripe for abuse.

See above.

They want the relief of 10000 added in there for student loan forgiveness of student loan debt.

People would benefit EVEN MORE if that was added

They are shitting themselves to avoid allowing a GOP bill to provide those relief checks.
Imagine trying to ram through a big ol crony capitalist $500B no strings attached bailout then blaming the other side for politicizing relief for workers

Just stop the a Fox News hysteria
