    Apparently the Senate bill not cancelling thousands of dollars of student debt is one of the main sticking points for Democrats.

    This is really despicable.

    The economy crashing while they stall is a win for them in the long run and they know it. I hope people are paying attention to this.

    If this doesn't pass due to the Dems basically rendering a new mutated version of TDS, they are fucked and will not win the white house next election.

    Pretty sure the main sticking point is the 500 billion dollar slush fund with no restrictions.

    That's as bad as holding up the trade deal until they got protections for Mexican workers. WTF is wrong with just looking at for the American working class for once?

    Its circular. The working class knows the left does nothing for them but try to make them dependent. The left knows they do nothing to earn their vote so they try to make them dependent so they will.

    If their rejection of a relief bill is "because it doesn't include student debt wipeouts of xyz amount" as it reads, it's pretty ugly. Very ugly. This is the absolute worst time to politick over something like this, and one of the main reasons people get turned off by politicians.

    I refinanced my loans through a private lender so I could get a lower interest rate. Guess I'm fucked.

    Jesus Christ, this should not be a partisan issue, but leave it to the Dems to fuck it up and fuck the average citizen over. People need this money. Fuck them. Enjoy giving Trump more ammo for the upcoming election.

    <WellThere>

    Pretty standard democrat play, though it's usually throwing a bunch of extra shit onto a bill and then saying "republicans block bill to..." and then name the one beneficial thing because they know mentioning the extra crap they tried throwing in would make them look bad. Democrats don't give a fuck about you, they just want power and dependent voters.

    I still owe a decent amount of money (federal loans) and while I'm not going to argue with them erasing any portion of it.… I'd be perfectly fine repaying whole amount I agreed to pay back without interest.

    Make Trumps hold on interest permanent. I'll pay that shit off twice as fast.
