An estimated 12% of DNC convention attendees walked out. The DNC are literally busing in people to replace them. There are pushes all over social media by Bernie supporters calling for everyone to leave the Democratic party and go 3rd party.

And you won't see any of this on CNN or MSNBC (remember that they are already proven to take marching orders from the DNC in the recent email leaks)

What's your opinions on all this?
    1. I hope this is the nail in the coffin for the media. Bernie supporters are learning what the right has known for years, MSNBC and CNN aren't news. They are the propaganda arm of the democratic party.
    2. Their grievencious are right. Their candidate of choice was never given a fair shot, and the DNC doesn't even offer up so much as an apology when the lid gets blown off. Instead, they ridicule them for being upset that they were cheated and backstabber, all while the media stays dead silent on the whole thing.

bernie supporters, although appreciated in their own way, never understood the game. their nativity was the bridge to this disappointment, for clinton has been the DNC nominee since '12 (barring a scandal that stuck) and nothing was going to divert her march. but good show, juice.

Bernie's supporters have nowhere to go in this election cycle.

Johnson is a Libertarian and in all 50 states. But he's not a socialist. Bernie's bros were mainly full-on big brother "pay for my stuff" socialists.

Maybe Jill Stein and the Green party could be a temp home for them. But good luck there. She's not even going to be on the ballot in a lot of states.

    To quote bill murray

If you lie to the government it's a felony. When the government lies to the public they call it politics

Libertarian is usually socially mid-to-far left, economically far right. People will argue this, I'm sure, but this is how it is generally described.

Libertarian party is Small government, limited laws, limited social safety nets. Yes, Libertarians are very open about social issues like gay marriage, etc. But they are quite strict on keeping down government budgets, taxes, and bureaucracy.

Outside of the social freedoms that Libertarians ascribe to, Sanders progressive socialists would be freaking out over everything else. Progressives are nervous control freaks, especially the millennials. They need their safety nets, government programs, etc.

The more progressive Green Party would be a better choice. Green Party's platform is mainly an environmental one. But I'm sure if the Socialists all flock to them. They can turn in into a full-on Socialist workers party.

    It is a complete joke.

It is obvious that the media is more interested in making the democrats look good than reporting huge news like this.

    This would get ratings.

Why would this get ratings? Literally the only people who care are hardcore Sanders fans and the anti-Hillary crowd that latches onto anything negative about her.

Both groups don't learn anything new from this. The Sanders people have been complaining about this since the primaries. The anti-Hillary people were anti-Hillary anyway. If there were any fence sitters, they bought in on the email link, not the random walkout of protesters.

As for people who are actually watching convention news...they're tuned in no matter what's on screen. I don't see how it's a ratings draw. A story for political junkies, sure. But changing viewership?

I get that the media might cover but why would it change viewing patterns? Everyone who cares about this subject is already tuned into political stations. And the people who don't care, won't care about the walk out if they didn't care about the underlying emails. And if they cared about the emails...then they're already tuned in for more information.
