4oz gloves don't matter when there is only 125lbs behind it. At 265, whole different story.Well, on the one hand, it's a fight, 4 oz. gloves, MMA, anything can happen, yadda yadda. On the other hand though... lol nah, fuck that, DJ takes it pretty easily.
Dude, I'm on the exact same page as you. You know, if you play with fire like that enough, it will burn you eventually, but I thought about going big on that one, same as you. I'm hoping the line will change a bit first though.I'm seeing odds right now at +550 for Borg, -900 for Demetrius Johnson. The odds are ridiculous but it's free money right? Does anyone think that Borg has a chance to win?
How about 5K to win an almost sure $515 or so. Somehow in those terms, it seems more worth it. That's how much I'm in the positive as of right now. It would suck to lose the whole bankroll though.I give him no chance but it's not worth it unless you got big money to bet. You gotta throw down 10 grand just to win $1000 and that lucky chance is always there. If you are just a casual better looking to throw down like $200, betting that to win $20 is free money I guess, but it doesn't seem worth the risk for so little reward. (I did math based on 10-1 to simplify)
Yea I feel ya. I guess for me when you got 10-1 odds like that, if you can afford to lose the 5k, winning $500 isn't that much. If the 5k is a lot to risk, it's not worth risking it just win 500. That's why I don't really like betting on fights. I only like betting if there is a live dog that can make me 4x or more my money. How about 5K to win an almost sure $515 or so. You speak truth. Here's another fact: I capitalized big time on that one as well, even if I did literally almost have a stroke during the first three rounds.Fact: Borg has a wayyy better chance of beating Mighty Mouse than Conor beating Floyd in a boxing match
Perhaps you are right. I know if I do it this time and win, I have to resist the urge to let it become a habit because the law of averages would catch up to me sooner or later. Hopefully, not sooner.Yea I feel ya. I guess for me when you got 10-1 odds like that, if you can afford to lose the 5k, winning $500 isn't that much. It's a tough sport to bet on, at least in something like football, if you think a team is gonna win by 20, and they are favored by only 6, it's a lot safer to place the bet on the spread to double your money. Betting on huge favorites is a bit of a big risk/little reward deal.
