Off a draw, bro. A DRAW not a devastating loss.I’d say they need to do it one more time. Moreno got immediate rematch didn’t he?
Just curious - even after a super long title run? You wouldn't have given Anderson the rematch with Weidman, or say if GSP had lost during his reign?Nope.
1- No one should ever fight the same opponent 3x in a row.
2- Champ doesn’t deserve an instant rematch when they lose decisively.

If it was up to me, no.Just curious - even after a super long title run? You wouldn't have given Anderson the rematch with Weidman, or say if GSP had lost during his reign?
*like* I think that is a really good take on such. Thanks for a great reply. If it was up to me, no.
Anderson got fucking smoked by Weidman. Chris bounced his head off the mat like a basketball. The narrative that Anderson was clowning is naive, he was clowning BECAUSE he wasn’t fighting effectively and couldn’t get Weidman to leave him openings.
Instant rematches don’t leave any room for improvement to address the reasons for the loss.
in the case of championship instant rematches, they ruin careers. If the losing champ loses again he is 0-2 vs the new champ and really has no path to the title. From champ to gatekeeper in 2 fights, and no new contender created in the process, what a waste. Look at BJ Penn and Anderson, both went from MMA god & top P4P into freefall downward spirals.
If a fighter loses fair and square with no controversy, then they should earn a chance at redemption, they should not be entitled to it.
Especially champs. Why does the champ only have to win 1 out of 2 but the challenger needs to beat the champ twice to be champ?
That’s bullshit.

Do you guys want the immediate rematch or not? Do you want it but further down the road? I personally never want to see Figgy at FLW ever again. Anyone wanna hook me up with a poll? Is that possible? Anyway...
