Two points:
1) whitecollarfraud.com being the only shitty source reporting this news should have given you pause
2) the potential "fraud" is: James applied for a mortgage on a Virginia property a few years back and listed on the application that it would eventually become the primary residence. Should James not eventually make this property her primary residence, then if you could show the terms of the mortgage (which was for 90% at the standard industry rate), was somehow more favorable because she listed it as a primary residence, and didn't ultimately use it as such, then this would constitute fraud.

If #2 seems too dumb to follow, well that's because it's bullshit. Obvious bullshit that makes no sense.

The Legal Requirements​

This isn’t simply a matter of having multiple homes. New York Public Officers Law § 3(1) is unambiguous: “No person shall be capable of holding a civil office who shall not… have resided in this state” for the required period. The State Constitution Article XIII, Section 13(a) specifically requires the Attorney General to be “a resident of the state for five years immediately preceding election.”

Furthermore, Public Officers Law § 30(1)(d) mandates that an office becomes vacant when the officeholder ceases “to be an inhabitant of the state.”

Trump's team did nothing abnormal in real estate. They gave one appraisal. The bank gave a different appraisal. The bank went with the bank's appraisal. Everyone was satisfied and took their profits and no one was damaged. All Trump did wrong was pick (R) and not (D).

What Letitia James did was a straight up crime ... in many different ways.

"Letitia falsified her state of residence on power of attorney forms claiming her intent to use a home she was co-owner of with a relative in Norfolk, VA as her primary residence in order to cheat the mortage company to get more favorable terms for a primary residence, which would have immediately vacated her seat as AG of NY. This is in addition to her 20 year history of falisifying other real estate documents and changing the number of units in her rental properties to qualify for programs she didn't qualify for, such as Obama's federal HAMP bailout program that she didn't qualify for, so she lied about how many units she had to get a taxpayer bailout. Considering she lives in one state with a primary residence and this involves another state, boom, there you guy.

But I assume federal election laws could also be used regarding financial disclosures, etc. (edit: keep in mind she tried to run for senate)

Not to mention all of this influences her income, which there is a national tax for, so defrauding the federal government.

There is a lot of avenues I think the DOJ could get involved

... and the DOJ should get involved. Rarely do I want more government or targeted government, but that is EXACTLY what she did to Trump, so I believe she should feel what it's like and get absolutely charged and tried Federally for her obvious crimes.

Agreed. Normally wouldn’t be for the targeting, but these thugs need to be brought to justice, for each and every lawfare case, as they were all clearly bullshit political attacks. Karma is karma, and it cannot be denied.

RICO cases all around, considering the big democrat donor money involved, colluding between Biden admin and state officials. Judges and their families making money off the trials.

Heck with some of these judges trying to “stand up” to the Trump admin, their family is involved with USAId, immigration advocacy groups. Clear conflicts of interests where they refuse to recuse.

They wanna argue presidential immunity, well DOJ should now test the immunity of judges, etc.

Otherwise it will just keep happening with the court shopping and lawfare by democrat oligarchs

I remember John Kerry buying a yacht in another state trying to avoid paying Massachusetts taxes. Imo these are the things that keep people cynical about politicians. Most find avenues of corruption... it's just that they don't all get caught.

It isn’t that they don’t get caught, they do, why else do you know about? It is just that they aren’t prosecuted.

I wouldn’t even call it irony because they purposefully doing this shit and it is so in your face. But it shouldn’t be lost that Kerry not only is he not prosecuted, but he is a democrat who is for climate change initiatives and taxing the wealthy. Yet he is a billionaire or close to it, and doing tax fraud to avoid paying taxes on a yacht that will pollute and damage the environment.
